Just wanted to introduce myself having mistakenly posted a listing before spotting the - 'ONE POST WONDER SELLING! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU LIST ITEMS' warning thread. My apologies.

I'm a life long Star Wars fan and budding collector. Unfortunately cash keeps my buying capacity in check.

I look forward to getting to know the forum and its members and will enjoy drooling over the gems i'm bound to see being posted while browsing the board.

All the best,

Ikosoulight

Welcome Ikosoulight, great to see new members introducing themselves. Look forward to your posts and yes their are planty of gems on this forum to waste hours away looking at.

Hi, many thanks for the welcome.

The post i made has been disallowed and i'm not sure why. I presume i missed something when i read the rules but i was under the impression this was the right place to post links to Ebay sales and that's exactly what i did. I'll be sure to re-check the rules and see where i went wrong.

Thanks again.

No reply from the mods as to why my post Ebay listing was deleted.

Would anyone be kind enough to take a guess at why they may have zapped it please?

Thanks in advanced.

A one off, Star Wars inspired piece of artwork. I posted an Ebay link and received this message....

Reason: The reported message has the only purpose to advertise for a website or another product.

Ebay links to vintage SW would be fine, art should either be in modern or general sales even if on an external site and to be fair you may still get some stick for purely advertising with no input to the forum or other interactions. We do understand not everyone wants to hang around but if you try and contribute or interact whilst your here your sales link will be better received

Understood, thank you for taking the time to give me some advice.

I intend to stick around and contribute but i came to offer something i genuinely thought members may be interested in and imho if anything it seems more contrived to beg it first and then offer what you truly came here for originally. I do understand what your saying though, you guys must get sick of one hit wonders.

I guess i'll just have to take my chances and hope my item is interesting enough to ward off the collectives wrath. lol.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

There's no problem mate, but as Lejackal said this is a Vintage Star Wars toy forum so if you are selling anything else, even Star Wars art it should go in the general sales section ideally as a direct sale, rather than a link. I think the ebay listings section is only for (Vintage) toy related listings. But hey, you're a Star Wars fan so welcome. Also, what's your name? Most people don't sign off a post with their username.

I didn't see a question/request from you for clarification on why your post was declined. Did you PM any of us? It wasn't me who declined it, but I suspect the Mod who did thought, as Lee implies, that you were one of the many fly-by-night one post wonders we get who simply try to make themselves a few more quid by posting a link to their auction and then contribute nothing to the forum.
