Hey guys,

So ive been keeping myself busy for the past 2 weeks getting this beast done. It is the new 2 1/2 foot long Hasbro Millennium falcon by Hasbro. Its a huge ship with basically no play value to any kid as you cant use figures or open any doors etc with it. However, it makes a great canvas for a custom project.

Now ive always wanted to own the Master Replicas Millenium Falcon but didnt want to spend the £1500 upwards for the privilage. So heres what you can do with around £45 all in :)

Ship £29.99 Argos
Paint £5
LED lights £10

Im actually going to scratch build the seats etc for the cockpit and will be using fibre optic lighting for the cockpit console and walls. Im only 50% dont with this so lots more to come.

Lee

Stunning Lee. There's two words that don't go together often

Perhaps a strip of lights at the rear would look better like we see on the films?

Wait Hasbro have released a toy that is basically a low detailed model? Why?

Nice custom though, are you going to attempt to add an moving features.

Looking great, I've been following some of the custom jobs on therpf.com, have you had any issues with the paint sticking to the model?? It seems like quite a few on that site have

Looks fantastic Lee. Excellent work! 8)

I actually own of these. Worth £30 IMO but no more. Its a falcon and is a decent model but has ZERO playability

That's wicked, can't believe it's only 30 quid. Looks great and it's huge. What's it like on the accuracy front? If it was weathered and given battle damage it could look amazing. I would quite like one but I ain't got the room for it.

Thanks guys.

Still got to weather it, and im not using the supplied stickers. Ive been following the RPF thread and my paint is sticking well. Everything is hand painted and ive cut the windows outof the cockpit and gunner window. Ill be finishing and weathering over the next week.

Sorting some frosted plastic from the wifes tupperware now Rich :D

Great stuff Lee :D

How easy are the LED lights to use, I have thought about usinfgthem in the past but have been put off. Is it just a simple battery and light setup?

After saying earlier I didn't have room for one of these I went and got one :p 25 quid in Argos now! I just had to grab one. Stuck it on top of the wardrobe, a little project for next year. I too have wanted a nice (reasonably) accurate model of the Falcon. I think this is a good base. Looking forward to having a go at it. Nice one Lee, skills on the build so far.
