Help, City Link are shite!

Got a large haul coming from Manchester which is booked for collection/delivery with City-Link.

Was booked for collection yesterday with next day delivery. Poor guy went into work early with the wardrobe sized packed box and waited .. and waited .. and waited. 6 oclock came and no show (website says collection between 8 and 6). I call them and they inform me "its a busy time of year and collections can be up to 7.30pm".

Tell the guy and he waits in the office until 7.30 and STILL no show. I get on to them and without even a ****ing apology, offer me the choice to cancel or reschedule. I reschedule for today. They refuse to guarentee collection but say they will put a note that collection should be before 5.30pm

Still waill waiting today. If there's anothe rno show what should I do??

i would cancel and re-book with another courier mate, is there a courier depot nearby? he can drop it off at the depot then tey have no excuse, ive got a TNT near me and i just take it in.

Yep as Plantman says, where possible use a depot. UPS, Hermes etc all have drop off points at many super markets and corner shops, I do this whenever possible to avoid waiting around all day.

As an alternative I highly recommend this courier:

They email/text you a one hour collection slot on the day. So I tend to use them if a drop off isn't possible (eg large/heavy item.)
