This item was pretty expensive back in '83. Far beyond my pocket money, that's for sure. You could easily buy the individual items from this much more cheaply. So all you would be forking out for was a pretty piece of artwork on the front.

Great read and low and behold there is a huge production company here in sunny Leicester called Metal Box, not so sure there will be any direct link though, my mind is starting to tick .

Not my cup of tea with regards value, I'm sure half a dozen will be along shortly to chime in but photos are a must.

Hi Laurence, I work for what was the Metal Box group - now owned by an American company called Crown Cork. I think it's likely that the tins would have been manufactured at the Mansfield plant - they specialise in the more decorative packaging side of things.
