That the Jabba goons you used to be able to pick up for £15-20 on any cardback are now being sold for more than some main characters? The likes of Bib Fortuna, Klaatu, Nikto Skiff etc. I've seen loads for sale in the £75-£150 range on trilogo and Palitoy cards over the last few weeks, and they are selling! The mind boggles. I know everything is going up, but you can still buy Luke's, Han's and Leia's for that kind of money.

Funny I was only thinking the same thing just last night. I have seen a few lately FS and almost all seem to be selling
Another thing I noticed lately is people seem to be using the term 'Hybrid Card' in the description for a few of the Palitoys that have Trilogo bubbles

Yep, Squid listed this morning for £80, 8D8 (whoever he is eh Joe ) for £75, Klaatu's at £50 plus recently not to mention a Prune Face for 200€!

I think its just the symptoms of the number of idiots we have in the hobby now. No one does any research or looking they just buy on impulse and then stick it on facebook. If you are a seller looking to make a quick profit you are going to charge them over the odds.

I think many of them having overpaid for the loose figures have now completed that loose run and are now turning to MOC and using the same idiot tactics on them.

On a slight side note I'm awaiting the next wave of repro weapons as the demand for loose weapons seems to be very high. Con men must be looking at this going we can make money here if we can issue a new round of repros.

Yep, at £50 for lando gen and gunner blasters and £100 for Stormy Vc1 you could see someone chancing their arm - not to mention the metallic bespin blasters

Yeah, very true, Edd. And it's not like the supply of reasonably priced ones has died either. eBay is awash with bargains.

That said, I know James on here was after a nice minty Klaatu on Trilogo and I think he had to give up in the end because no one had one! Bear in mind these were, traditionaly, the £10-£15 MOCs which wasn't vast amounts more than the loose figures were going for in the 90s/early 2000s. Perhaps the Amanaman/Pop Up R2 effect has afflicted them: ripped of the cards because they were cheap to do that with. Although, I can't say I've noticed a lack of supply of Squid Heads, Lograys, Klaatus or Weequays!

Maybe it's like property, people are buying over priced stuff thinking whatever I spend it's going to go up so worth it in the end. The fact that everything sells so fast breeds panic buying too maybe?
