Hard to find Tri-Logos...?

Just wondering are there some Tri-Logo cards that are rarer than others? Are there some cards that would be deemed "harder to find"..?

Yeah loads, off the top of my head. Logray, Admiral Ackbar, Death Star Droid, Amanaman, Nien Nunb, General Madine.
They do all come up every now and again but you have to wait quite a while and in the case of DSD and Amanaman you're gonna be paying through the nose if and when you do actually find one. (£200+) Nien Nunb can often fetch a similar amount. Madine could and does fetch thousands.
I'm sure Joe can add others to this list.

I think I'm right in saying that the General Madine is a bit of a grail piece. I've not seen many Gam Guards either (i want one of those)

Yeah i'd agree with that. I've only ever seen Gam Guard qwith a damaged bubble and you don't see those too often either. I think ones like Gam Guard, Bib Fortuna, Squid Head, Ree Yees are gonna be the next lot that become rare. For various reasons but mainly ugrading.

I'd add Emperor's Royal Guard to the list of tricky ones to find.

I wouldn't say Yak Face is a rare trilogo compared to quite a few of the others, it's just expensive because it's Yak Face, they readily show up on ebay.

Some such as Gam Guard, Bib Fortuna, Logray are harder to find than you'd think, but still don't command much of a price and good luck getting a Gam Guard with a decent bubble.

Liam's list is pretty much spot on although I'd add Bossk to the list and take away Rebel Commando

Tri-logo's tend to be like buses you don't see any of one particular figure for months then 2 or 3 come along in a period of a couple of weeks.

I have a Tri Tusken in really nice shape. Didn't realise it was one of the harder to find Tri's

Don't know if they're classed as proper tri logos as they are the hybrid cards, but hammerhead and CCP are pretty tricky to come by. I've seen a couple of the hammerheads but both were over 2 grand!

Ugnaught is also quite tricky to find in decent shape.

The only cards i needed for my Tri run were Fett,Madine and IG88,then i got bored and sold up,it was only the cardbacks i collected though.Logray was a very tough find,both moc and cardback.

Rarity with trilogos differs from time to time.There are the main usual suspects in Fett,Jawa and Madine,but cards that you would think to be easy,need some tracking down.C3PO RL may seem like an easy one,but it isnt the case sometimes.Its just a case of seeing what comes on the market at the time.

If someone had indespensible finances,i would say they could get everything but the Madine within a month

Personally,tris are my favorite after Palitoy logo cards.

And i bought one for £95 back in 2001,and sold it for not much more a few months after.

I just need 11 to complete the collection - these include the big three -

Madine, Jawa & Boba

These come up very rarely and when they do are very expensive

I also need Luke Hoth and two of the Hybids - Hammerhead and Cloud Car Pilot - again these rarely come up and also comand a high price (although not as much as the big three)

Other ones that I have found hard to find (especially for a reasonable price are - ERG, Luke Bespin, IG88, Chewie and Ben (I need all of these bar the Luke Bespin)

Other toughies are Nien Numb, Ackbar, Rebel Commando, Zuckuss and all of the Leias

I think that might be my old list Liam? If so it's taken from a much larger overall rarity post I made on my forum, I did the hybrids in their own category if anyone was wondering why they were missing from the list. I would also possibly take out the Imperial Commander from the old list..but again as has been mentioned - apart from a few figures that will always be hard to find/expensive every collectors Trilogo journey is different to the next collectors. Some figures that can be hard to find might fall in your lap right at the start which may lead you to believe they aren't rare..etc etc.

Are you sure about bib fortuna is also hard to find, there was 3 bib tri-logo on ebay uk last year when I bought the one I have.

Everybody knows about the big 3 (Madine, Jawa, Fett) but as said by others there are some really hard to find cheap ones too, especially in nice condition. Admiral Ackbar took me years to find, but when I did finally get one it cost me about £20 The SW characters are generally the hardest to find IMO. THe last 17 are amongst the easiest, just expensive.

Keep an eye on eBay USA as that is where many tri logos ended up (at Kay Bee stores.) I got quite a few of mine from America having not been able to find them in the UK, again mainly the cheaper ones.
