Paid peanuts. The seller stated that it was found in an old abandoned toy shop. Of course I asked if they found any others, but he said that was the only one. I was hoping he would reply back and say I have a Boba Fett too. LOL.
I personally thought it was a scam, but I received the figure, it turned out legit and is on its way to AFA.
It to me is an amazing story that a Italian released figure shows up in chilly and is unearthed 30 years later.
Damn. I wish finds like this happened more often.

The funny thing is there was a buy it now price for 235.00 which I used, but it was also listed with a Best Offer as well and someone actually submitted an offer.. WOW.
I bet that person is kicking them selves in the arss. I can see people people being a little hesitant as to the description, the location and afraid of the South Americans Postal Service who are notorious for stealing items.

I saw that on your ebay account. Nice pick up.

Any news on my 2-1b? The USPS tracking now says attempted delivery in Canada. Given I'm in the UK, that's not good...

:?:

Very nice pick up! But got to ask, why on earth are you sending it to AFA? It will only score a 40 or so surely with the bubble lifting and card damage :?

To resell it of course ;)

Exactly! and also to get the best possible price

Would an AFA 40 add value? It will do the opposite IMO, most low grade stuff sells for less than ungraded stuff. And it's not like this is a DT Ben or prototype that is impossible to verify as genuine without an AFA sticker

Its just a way of proving its real to potential buyers.

I am not sure that this seller really has a problem with this now - most of his latest stuff has been proven legit - there is just the question as to whether you will get it if you win it ;-)

Thanks for the concern guys (Josh, we must have words... :p), I got a ransom note from the boys at Parcelfarce when I got hom today so it looks like is has winged it's way across the Atlantic ok. Deliver date is Monday now I have paid, so fingers crossed. The ransom was 30% of the item value, is that normal?

I think steve made a post on how to claim back customs charges for vintage star wars, and yes it does work out at about 30% you get 20% vat, customs duty and parcelfarce handling fee of £8 or £12 depending on size/value

Yes I am hoping for that outcome also....But you gotta admit it is ****en funny after everything else that has gone down prior.

Get off my dick Faggot.
Josh you need to get a life sorry to tell ya and all you bandwagon riders need to get off his dick and get off mine. Stop double dicking.
As to Jason, it was an honest mistake. I uploaded the wrong tracking number. I had sent out a bunch of items that week and had to upload alot of numbers. As stated I apologize any stress it caused but your item is there and waiting.

As to the Topic at hand. Harbert Yoda. I did not get this graded to re-sell. I will not be listing this for sale along with the rest of my vintage. I don't care if it gets a 40 or not. I am not picky and when it comes to a Harbert Yoda, How could one be ?

Thank you.

That Yoda was a steal- the cardback header looks amazing- it's an obvious thing to say but it looks SO foreign! Is a full run of harberts obtainable?
As for grading it I don't really see the point but each to is own.

I'm glad that's the end of mr Walsh- it was just getting a little nasty in my opinion.

Yes. I don't think there was any need for that kind of talk. John still hadn't explained himself fully for the whole "feedback-gate" issues. He was given the benefit of the doubt at the off but from day one he hasn't done himself any favours.
I stuck up for him over the 20bk Stormtrooper issue on RS because the folk on RS were wrong and i thought it was obvious they were wrong but the whole ebay thing was very worrying and the harbouring of Mr Walsh threatened to become damaging to the reputation of this forum since everyone everywhere learned of his goings on. Keeping him here much longer would make us no better than TIG...
