Han Hoth with filled/painted foot hole

Just noticed that my Han Hoth only has one hole :lol: As it's carded I can't tell if it's paint or plastic filling it in, but just thought I'd see if any of the variant collectors have seen it before (or care!)

Why do action figures have holes in their feet?? I feel that's something i ought to already know but don't.

I would say it was because they can be attached to the various play sets (and now to my marvelous stands!)
