Hammerhead on Ebay

I was actually the one that went for that crisp, clean, mint Numb . I won the auction, but the seller refused to ship to the US. He told me he is going to relist it. I believe with a BIN. PGowdy keep and eye out.

Will do but he's quite a greedy seller and is likely to relist it at the price it sold for. Not actually willing to pay that muc.
He did say in his listing that he would definitely not ship outside the UK. I probably would have won it had you read the description properly.

To be fait i think there was a 3rd person involved at the end. I actually went up to 176 (instantly regretting going that high  ) then there was a bid at 188 and then the winning bid was 190 something.
The seller will probably list it at 200.

I emailed him at the beginning of the auction and he told me he would ship it to me as long as I chose air mail with insurance that way there it would be traceable. I agreed and had no problem. Then at the end of the auction he told me he wasn't going to ship it to me.

Yeah i kind of hoped it wouldn't be the winning bid as i placed it. It was a bit of a 'tilt' bid. Another one will come up i'm sure. It was a very nice one with a lipped bubble tho which is why i got a little keen.

****ing hell, I hope this isn't the start of things to come, some prices lately have been mental on ebay !
I had this discussion with a collector recently who, when i valued the Nien Nunb at 120-150 he said that was WAY over. He was going buy the prices he used to pay 4-5 years ago. Nien Nunbs are just not as easy to find any more and the last 2 i've seen have gone for 140 and this one at 190. When one comes up everyone's been waiting 6-8 months for one and so bidding goes mad (even i went a bit loopy ). Tri Yaks are WAY more common with 2 or 3 always around but often way over priced.

Nunbs come up quite often really. A few years ago I missed out on an absolute minter for £35. I'd still say they are worth £120 max for an absolute minter.

I did manage to win his IG-88 though, we shall see what turns up.

Congrats on winning IG, I must admit I was terribly worried about this whole deal and tbh it still amazes me people bid as much as they did on such a dodgy looking account but hey ho- looks real and people are getting their items so its all good, let us know how it turns out !

I have been watching this guy with interest. He makes some money for the stuff he sells. My theory is that this is all due to a woman scorned! He said he split with his girlfriend who originally listed the item. I reckon she bids some ridiculous amount like ... idk 10k! to make sure he can't sell any of his stuff and then doesn't pay. :D

I'm with you on that one, I took a punt on a few of his figures, but never to 'top' whack as you just don't know about the seller. I am going to use my credit card though as just as a safety net. There are either some very desperate people out there or they are very trusting.

Some of the stuff went for well over it;s worth. I believe there was some shill bidding going on too. I'm waiting to see if he relists some of the items won by v***d (23). This ID bid on almost every single item he had for sale. Over 40 items. More than just a little fishy if you ask me.

Great detective work there Pete!

I totally agere that something dodgy is going on - I was watching 3 of his auctions as just wanted to see what they went for:

ROTJ Leia Organa went for £336 (not too bad but they've been going for around the £250-£280 mark recently)

ROTJ Cloud Car Pilot went for £57! I sold my graded ESB one for £75!

ROTJ Lobot went for £35.75!!! ****ing Lobot! He is a £20-£25 figure max!

Yeah plus he was refusing to deliver outside of the UK and the market is at an all time low for MOCs. His are the only ones i've seen sell well in months.

According to his ebay details this guy lives in Leicester which is about a 25 minute journey for me! I was thinking of sending him a message asking if he wanted to sell anything off ebay and avoid the fees if I went to him personally!

Wonder if he'd take me up on it?

 I know exactly what he'll say. I messaged him about three items offering decent money and he just said no. I believe someone on SWCC got the same response.

A chap called Hogsworth (or something like that) had a couple of his trilogos sell very well recently.

If you look at this seller's at his feedback he's sold an awful lot to comparatively few people.

Still I won one so we shall see what happens.

Well despite my reservations a special delivery package was waiting for me at home.

Well it all seems legit, the bubble has some crushing but the card is in very good condition:

Yeah hogsworth1611 's stuff is top notch. I've had my eye on a few of his pieces but no joy so far.
ps. Very nice card on that IG88. Typical bubble crushing but what can you do. Overall very nice piece.

I was about to blame on it our insane hammerhead/ree yees buyer on ebay "goldie" but I just saw that he got OUTBID! LOL

I am amazed and shocked, and also a bit saddened to see people shelling out so much money for these things, when you look at goldies feedback (http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=golddie2010&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true) you can see he is overpaying on everything he buys, it's like he just won the lottery and couldn't give a ****!

Would love someone to speak to him on ebay and ask him if he has money to burn, I would like some of it lol
