Guess the auction price for the Palitoy VCJ

Pretty happy with the way things went in general. A few under and a few over estimate.
The 2 palitoy sw cards that went cheap weren't in great nick, but all in all I'm pretty happy.

Gutted for you on the VCJ nick. If I was the seller if that and the site wasn't working properly I'd be pissed.

glad this thread got updated regulary as i could get a connection to the auction aswell.

Some prices are well above and some are well below.
For some items, i guess they would have sold better on eBay...
I expected the Palitoy VC Jawa cross the 10K...

Congrats to all who won something.

I really am gutted for Nick, he tried to put commission bids on a lot of stuff, but they didn't register it so he had to bid live... he went to bid £8.5k then his screen went back to the screen telling you it would start in 0secs.

He's not a happy bunny!!

Surely anybody serious about bidding on any of the high end items would have at least phoned in, if not been there in person? There's no way I'd let a once in a lifetime opportunity be at the mercy of an internet connection!

On the plus side, I reckon more will turn up in the coming months and the price will bomb.

That 7.5k bid was my first bid - tried bidding at 8.5 and it went to the screen telling me the auction would start in 0 secs. Needless to say it was gone when it finally reconnected. Had my budget of 12.5 (without commission - so 15) - gutted and frustrated, though spose my other half will be happy.

As my internet commission bids didn't work last time, I didn't bother this time.

Lost out on 3 items, nearly won something I didn't bid on...

Pretty gutted.

Seems like a right amateur set up this Victis. At least with ebay's 10% fees you know what you get and can manage auctions yourself.

Wow. I was starting to doubt my guess as far more of you more knowledgable guys were going much higher.

I thought this one would be a bit less than the other as it wasn't graded, no one on RS believed it to be real no matter what evidence was given to them and the very fact that this one has turned up means the potential for more to come out of the woodwork later on.

I found the auctions quite hard to follow and if it weren't for the fact the website was so **** I would have been probably a grand or so off.

Gutted for you Nick, but also want to echo Edd, why didn't you phone in you knew from Lee's auction allready internet wasn't working well, so you could had phoned in to at least have a better chance at the Jawa..??

Anyway, seems they killed themselfs with the publicity they made...

Am v Soz to hear of Nick's loss because there were issues on the site :(

I too had issues, couldn't even join the live auction

Just glad I put in a commission bid on the piece I was after over 2wks ago :D

8.5k makes it £10,497.50 after commission & VAT.

I wasn't far off when the fees were included at £10,750, but congrats to Mr_Shifter hitting in on the head at 8.5K :)
