I'm glad i came late to this one too.

Since I've had my own house, we've lost three cats, even the one that we only had for five months was 14 and had cancer when we got her was horrible to lose.

Good news as about your cat buddy, it is hard to say goodbye. We lost our 18yr old about 8 weeks ago. Sad news for the owners though

Funny you should post on this thread tonight Tim, was about to give an update:

We didn't find out who the Cat was or it's owners. The folk we know in the neighbourhood (who have cats) are fine and dandy.

Sorry to hear about your 18 year old mate.

Our oldest is 17 and she looks to be heading downhill a little of late...
