Grey version of the Troop Transport battery cover

Seperate to my post on the battery terminal, my Imperial Troop Transport cam with a grey battery cover - definitely vintage, not one of the resin reproductions. I have asked on Facebook too but can't find any information about the origin of a grey version.

You can have both. I'm unsure if the red cover was the earlier type or not. My own as a child was red, and the boxed one I have now is red, only because I wanted the same. Try a search on here. Someone has probably asked this before, I'm sure it's been mentioned.

I have both the grey and the red version in my collection.

I was just thinking could one be palitoy and the other kenner or did they both use grey and red

There are also 2 different colour red ones if I remember correctly
