Hi all.
New to the forum and after a bit of advice/assistance please.
I have 3 ROTJ carded figures I bought back in 02 I think.
2 Kenner 65 back .Cheif Chirpa and Lando in Skiff and 1 Palitoy 65 back Klaatu.
They are in the same protective cases from when I got them.
However is it worth getting them graded? Am not selling them as will eventually be giving them to my son(long way off yet as he is to young) so does grading them matter.
Or just up date the protective cases/box things.
If so I have read about AFA in the U.S. Or is there a good grader in the UK that you all use.
Any tips on where to buy the protective cases also would be great
Many thanks for any assistance.

Having the figures graded will not preserve the figures. I would look in to ways to store your figures long term but I suspect that the cases they are already in are good enough for this.

If you want the graded look but without grading I'd highly recommend putting them in nice high quality acrylic cases available from our very own Christian.

Thanks MarkG
Could you or someone provide his username so I could PM him?
Anybody have a photo please of a carded figure in one of the acrylic cases?
No worries if not
Many thanks

If you have a look at Mr Shifters limelight thread, you'll see plenty of acrylic.. with some awesome mocs in them.

In my recent experience it's not worth it with ROTJ cards. Unless maybe if it was case-fresh condition with a clear bubble.

Usually people go for ROTJ when other cards are too expensive, so they're not looking to be paying more for graded ones.

If you're intending to display them then the cases supplied by GW Acrylic are absolutely perfect. However, if you're intending to store them I'd suggest keeping them in the star cases you already have.
