Hi Guys. Just noticed and it stumped me. Is a AFA Mistake?

I know its our friend Robbie... :|

Maybe it came from a Trilogo Miss Card ?

Would be the sort of **** that this guy would do - but hey we're not allowed to go there in other threads

Close enough. It came on a Meccano produced Trilogo Yak, miscard bubble, correct figure just packaged with the Palace blaster.

If it's of any interest there is another Trilogo Yak release that comes with a weapon - The PBP release comes packaged with a Tusken Raider weapon.

That would have been one cracking card to own. But hey, least its now sladded in a acrylic coffin for us all to enjoy

Yeah I kinda think even if it had been a trashed card it was still worth keeping like that, unfortunately the need to create something "unique" won out over common sense.

I know Christian once had one of these, it may even have been this one but he didn't grade it himself, he got it through a trade I think. Interesting piece but yeah - much cooler on the card however trashed.

I suppose one factor for grading it may have been if the bubble was cracked and the weapon was close to being lost from it then this particular packaging variant wouldn't have had much chance of being taken seriously if it had actually fallen out, how can you prove that weapon was in there if it's not in there lol

Anyways, not my cup of tea, I'd rather have the moc with a crack than the case, figure + weapon without the card + bubble.

I see what you are saying Joe

But really - if the wrong weapon isn't in the bubble on a card how amazing is it ?

I know this doesn't happen - but what would stop a naughty AFA or UKG Grader from just pairing up a different weapon with a figure and declaring that it came from there ?

Looks like a very rare mis-cards (almost definitely one of a kind) destroyed for finacial gain by Robbie and our beloved/well respected friends at AFA.
And people come on eher sticking up for him. "but he's a nice guy... just trying to feed his family... blah blah blah" Do me a favour.

I hear you Pete! Hence the fact that although he's got a Brown haired Luke that I desperately want, I won't be buying it from him because of reasons like the above. I'm not trying to turn this thread into something else cos I'm sure he's an alright bloke.

Pete dont go there....it is a touchy subject.

I'm leaving it at that. We've been through it all before. Some don't mind his practices others find them detestable. People are welcome to their view. Mine will always be the latter.

Mine as well.....and I will leave it at that.

Dont you just love the trashed card argument?

Hate to think of young or poor people to enjoy the hobbie.

Nazi book burners.

As Joe says it may well have been the bubble was ****ed and the blaster would have fallen out soon, thus having it U graded at least preserves the proof it was what it was. Yes, I know it destroys the MOC and I'm not excusing it at all, I've no love of U grades, I just think it's hard to comment without knowing the whole history. Sadly, I don't think Robbie is going to tell us, and I suspect some people may not believe him if he sad the bubble was badly cracked but sure.

Either way it's a shame to see such an usual figure no longer on its card.

yeah..it is dead point...but to call this a Mis-card anymore would be a streatch as It lacks the original cardback and bubble...plus the orginal seal. It's just a Yak with the wrong weapon in my opinion.....but someone will buy it and from a business perspective no matter how you feel about this "U' grade ****...the guy is going to make his money back and then some.

Images of mis-carded Yak being found it delicate condition and looked after and passed down from collector to collector over the years, taking care with its fragile condition.

Then ripped apart.

People don't realise that these things will out live them.

Ugrade is a collecting bubble. Can't wait for it to burst.
