Got this VC Jawa years ago - please have a look

Hi all

I got the VC Jawa many years ago in a bulk purchase & had always presumed that it was a fake, but after seeing Ham's new purchase I thought I would post some photos so you guys who know more about such things could shoot me down in flames, oh I mean help me out & LMK its really some ultra rare VCJ :mrgreen:

I was told he was genuine but took it with a barrow load of salt as I knew the overall value of what i was buying back then was a bargain.

So here you go, LMK your thoughts guys!

Looks good to me- the armholes should be really really tight on a genuine Vc jawa. The colour looks right, does it hang tight to the back of the figure?
And is there a zipping noise if you run your fingernail on one side?

Hey Frank, yeah looks good to me too. Like Ed said, check the texture on one side dude. Also the armholes look good as they look as tho they have been shaped/worn into the shape they are now over time as in inverted as they way you would push something through them and they would turn-out.

Whey hey! bonus, I have checked & the cape is super smooth one side & does indeed make the zippy noise when a finger nail is run down the outside, when I took the cape off to take photos I was caking it as I know as we all do that removing the capes is the easiest way to reduce the value of your caped figures as they rip at the last tug :lol: I was very happy to see this one has no tears whatsoever at the arm holes.

Now next question - there's always a but! -

It this the right blaster (which I think it is) - has the extra button thingie on the LHS

if so I'm rockin init!

PS is this a standard VCJ or a Toltoys VCJ?? - I am not as up as I should be with the very expensive figures as I never relly had the sort of cash to splash on them b4, so its all a new learning curve to me.

& whats this little fellow worth these days? & NO! he is not for sale at any price - my precious! 8)

Hi mate

He is defo 'standard' VC Jawa - the Toltoys one is darker and spotty!

Value wise, I have seen them sell recently for around the £250-£300 on the forums and slightly less on ebay as people are so wary of fakes - so all in all a nice find !

Figure is alright - and the cape looks correct too.
It's difficult to say for certain from any pics though. But I reckon you're probably OK :wink:

That blaster looks like a rough texture version though - I see them mostly on later ESB cards
