My other collecting passion is Mego. This guy turned up for sale over the weekend. There are only about five sealed examples known.
This is going to be one to watch.....

All the Iron Man hype has drove the price up....and yes he is a haed one as nobody care about Iron Man back in the 70;s..He was kinda like Submariener.

I'm not too sure about that really. The last one sold publicly (ie. Ebay) was 6 or 7 years ago and that sold for $4000 USD. The last one known to switch hands behind the scenes so to speak was 4 years ago and that was for $17,500 USD. One of the big players in Mego collecting has been offered $28,000 USD for his recently. There just isn't enough of them out there to supply the demand.

The seller picked this up in an estate sale and thought it was worth about $500 - a value obtained from an old price guide - imagine getting $16,097 instead?
