Gil Taylor RIP

Star Wars Dirctor of photography Gil Taylor has passed away today at the age of 99.

Famous for his constant battling with Lucas on how to make a film.

Perhaps we needed him on Phantom Menace.

Just looked through Gil Taylors list of credits, an amazing roll-call of work throughout an illustrious career. New Hope is my fave, and they were breaking so much new ground then. The reported bickerings with George Lucas perhaps showed Lucas a trick or two!

Sad news indeed, but a fine innings. RIP Gil.
