This playset is in unusually good condition. I have checked all parts including each support strut and nothing is broken. Everything fits together nicely and the colour is excellent (The lighter plastic in these is often very discoloured.) All parts are present including the tiny 'rope', the 'Dianoga' monster, the trash compactor foam, even the original instructions.

The foam is slightly sticky and there has been some minor 'crumbling' but it is in good condition overall (better than most examples I've seen) It would appear to be mostly complete (Hard to tell exactly) and the vast majority of the pieces are still nicely in tact.)

The mechanisms all work; the bridge extends, the trash compactor wall closes in with a turn of the screw and the compactor door opens smoothly on it's hinges (The trash compactor has some minor stress marks in the plastic. It also has slight glue residue along the join) The main cannon pops off it's base with a push of the release lever (the internal swivel mechanism also works - the 'hinges' on these are often broken), The elevator door rotates properly and the elevator goes up and down as it should. There is some minor sticker wear (one of the 'console' stickers is slightly torn). The card walls have inevitable wear, mainly around the edges (one of them also has two small pieces of tape stuck to it. I'm not sure why as it isn't torn? These are barely noticeable anyway and on the inside are actually hidden behind support struts when the playset is assembled.)

The instructions have notable creasing and slight discolouration, but are in reasonable condition given their age.

The box has had it's POP cut out and has a major tape tear along the top (that extends over the upper area of the side panels) where the original tape was removed. There is also some general shelf wear. It is still one of the better boxes I've seen for this playset. It has held it's shape well and the artwork is in tact and nice and vibrant.

Despite the various flaws and imperfections this is an extremely nice set. It is very difficult to find this particular playset complete and without broken parts. The fact that it is in such good cosmetic condition makes it even better.
