French Star Wars Backing Cards

Hi all,

Not posted recently but been an avid reader of the Jabba saga (better than the animated clone wars!! :shock: )

Just picked up these cardbacks (from france funnily enough )

Anyone know if they are rare and thus priceless :wink:







Oh and a pic for gustie, any of these a mega rare variant :roll:

I would take those of your hands...with absolutly no problem. Those cardbacks can fetch quite a great price.

They are pretty damn rare. I don't know a great deal about which characters are worth the most but I do know that a Meccano Luke cardback sold a while back for a hefty sum :wink:

Ahhh nice to see something different.

Now if you think a set of 12 Palitoys are hard to put together, you should try 12back Meccano's.

Sadly they do not reach the priceless mark, but where collecting used cardbacks has become so popular, they will probably go for a far higher premium these days compared to about 5 years ago, so if you're selling, I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the result.

They still have their POP's intact too, which are mostly found cut out for the mail away Meccano Cardboard Display.

However if you find them carded, expect to pay a hefty amount.

Hey Marc,

no other pics as such, I just snapped that one off with the mobile as I knew the Leia was at the top of one of the boxes.

When you pop down though, you'll be able to get a proper look 8)

Have listed my 2 cardbacks on ebay now and will be fully briefing my Dad before he moves to France next year

I imagine they must have sealed boxes of these in the local tabac :wink: :wink:

and £109.70 for the tusken raider :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

I'm going to memorabilia next Saturday to have some fun with the funds

Paid 17 Euros delivered for the 2 with the figures (found on ebay :shock: )
