free coin sticker roll cut up and on the bay....

So buyer did only buy it to sell it again and earn some big bucks on them. I hate when people only do it for the money

It hasn't been proven yet that these are the same batch, and to quote Joe...

It's likely these are different stickers to the unused roll.

This just popped up for sale which is one I'd certainly question. However, the asking price appears to be the going rate of the regular carded figure and less than what those stickers were selling for on their own, but definitely one I could see someone try to get a premium out of.

I would have purchased one if they were not all sold but maybe $150 is a bit too much but i would put it in a nice custom case to display as got no interest in having it on a card.

Wish I had seen this post 2 hours ago........wonder if a member here purchased the last one after seeing this thread ?

Maybe worth contacting the seller just in case they have an others.

Ian

The annoying thing is another one turned up on fb yesterday but had just made an offer on something else so my money was tied up and now the thing i offered money for was sold so lost out on the fb one lol

Looking at the secondary price sticker it looks like this one has been resold recently - the sticker looks pretty poorly applied which would probably tie in with it added whilst in store rather than later on

That would be my assumption as well on it. I think that the current seller put that price sticker on it as that is what the BIN price is too.

I was mainly pointing out that this would be more a character that someone might pay a premium on where it isn't the typical ESB Lobot, AT-AT Commander, Bespin Guards that you can find coin stickers on.

Thats part of collecting, and something you have to live with. Its no different than proof sheets being hand cut into seperate pieces, which is how i bought an uncut POTF Lando Skiff years ago.It was one on a sheet of four, which were cut up for sale to 3 different people.Id call this a good of business, but if they are being used to conjur up MOC rarities thats not on.Im not sure just having a $150 sticker on the front of an apparent 'rare' card type would generate enough interest to warrant it being used for that purpose in the first place. This is a roll of stickers, and im pretty sure the guy who won the auction had a plan to split these and knew the interest it would generate-thats if these are the same stickers.

What really frightens me is the thought that some turd will send one to AFA to get slabbed;) Its an offer sticker and nothing spectacular. Its not mega rare, not pre production and certainly not worth $150,but obviously some people feel differently.

Ok, nice to know it is maybe not from the same buyer :D I hope the buyer will not use the stickers to do something bad :)

I think you are right, $150 is to much for a sticker to put on a moc or a cardback to sell them an earn money on them :)

Well it would appear that now that he's seen some of the individual prices, he's gone and cut up a few from the roll to offer for sale.

I guess he saw for how much the other went for and now tries to recover some cash aswell.....

Anyway, i do have to agree that the price is to high for people to buy it just to stick it on a moc to sell it at a premium.

I believe whoever buys those, buys them for their personal collection

I have lost alot of interest in them now at the amount they are coming out of the woodwork and at that price when theres literally 100s out there.

$50 is more a decent price although cant ever see any going for less than $95

i am amazed that luke hoth ever made it on the shelf long enough to get one of these stickers put on. that means he was sitting around in a store for 3 years before this sticker was put on.
