Forum Problems anyone?? - some Help would be great!

I am having major issues with the forum & have been for a few days now, its incredibly slow at loading for me & quite often I just get this message & can't use the forum -

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Is it just me or is anyone else having the same issue?? & if its just me how the hell can I correct the problem??.

I have just done a total wipe of my hard drive & done a fresh install of my PC from scratch as well, so it should be flying at light-speed which it is for every thing else - Help please guys

Yeah, I've been having the same problem - the forum has been running very slowly or not loading up for a couple of days now

Same here, been going on and off for about three days now.
Had some other errors as well, forgot to copy what they said, but remember something along the lines of too many connections.

Well Edd better get on the bloody case then with this being our 2nd homes :lol:

EDIT - Phew, glad its not something I ****ed up when doing the fresh install.

Been getting more problems today, the same 500 internal server error, and empty response errors.

Forum has been a right bitch this morning - it is running slower than my old commodore 64

I've spoken with the hosting company and it's exactly the same problem RS had for years - there are simply too many people visiting at the same time (hence maxing out thr database connections.)

Sorry about the problems, I'm currently trying to decide what to do. Either a server upgrade or some kind of limitation will have to be put in place.

If you need to upgrade I'm sure you'd get a lot of us willing to make contributions. It's one of the few forums I'm on where there isn't a support us link

100% agree - would rather chip something in that wait half an hour for a page to load
