This probably should be under showcase, but I'm not showcasing really. I'm really posting just to express my appreciation to a few members on this forum. I've only been on this forum for a couple of months, and I don't post much on here, but I do always have a browse to see what people have recently acquired, and often peruse the general chitchat.
This has to be the best vintage collecting forum on the net. Before I signed up for this forum, I had a look on RS, and decided it was full of people I didn't want to deal with, where friendly debate was non existent, just full blown arguments, and a sense of humour was lacking.
Luckily I found this website, where everyone seems cheerful, people don't rip each other off, and even though I don't post very much, I really enjoy looking at the boards and seeing what people have acquired at car boots, what loony toon newbie is trying to peddle jar jar binks crap on here at over priced markup, the collections, the competitions and the friendly banter.
So Ive finally managed to get the original 12 figures all in pretty good shape, after collecting since I was 4 in 1994. Its taken a while, but since joining here, I've managed to get them with relative ease thanks to Jeff, Andy and Iain, (Dublinjeff, chazb73 itfciain) who have all found me accessories to complete figures I bought years ago, or found minty versions to replace my old battered ones!
So here is my proud, albeit poorly photographed original 12, which took a while to stand up, on a book, on my bed. And yes, I do have revenge of the sith bed sheets. I know what the ladies like. Hahaha.
I will post a picture of my complete collection of figures in the near future, when I can find a decent camera for one, and when I have them all on display instead of sealed ziplock bags, but my place is akin to a warehouse at the moment, everywhere there is cardboard boxes with loads of stuff I'm trying to sell!
