Hi all, thought I would share my completed run of Palitoy 30 back B cards, its taken a few years but certainly worth the wait, the final piece in my 30 back B jigsaw was the Yoda, massive thanks to Gary Smith for putting me in touch with a guy in Canada, completely out of the blue, but what a Christmas present!!!

I managed to buy a few 30 backs a few years ago when a guy sold up, the rest have been through contacts and fellow collectors who I do class as friends now, I've probably bored Jon Aves for long enough now, moaning about when a Yoda will come up, but to his credit was always so positive, its the old saying, when you wait and wait, two come up at the same time, I was also lucky enough to buy a great 41 back Yoda as well.

All I need now is the 30 Back IG-88, easy then, A or B card, I'm not fussy, to be honest, I'm just happy to complete the 30 B run, maybe find an IG in the next five years or so!!!

Many congrats to u sir :)
Condition wise U prob have one of the finest if not finest Empire sets in existence :!:

Super well done Rich 8)

Well this is an incredible achievement, they really do look stunning all together and if you pluck up the courage there is a way to flip Yoda's footer back in place if you ever feel the need (there's a thread on here somewhere). Saying that just having both Yoda and Boba really isn't something you see every day and the thing I especially love about the 30 B run is that the Palitoy logo is nice and big like on the 12/20's, say it loud, say it proud!

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful sight.

Ian

They are absolutely fantastic! What a brilliant achievement. Many, many congratulations on putting such a stellar run together; you should be extremely proud. Thank you so much for sharing :)

Thanks for all the comments, be interesting to see what people thought on Palifan's suggestion, I did have a little try to get the footer back in place but there is obviously a way to do it, I just didn't want his stick becoming loose and sitting at the bottom of the bubble, any suggestions and views would be appreciated.

They are beautiful, I am unfortunately going to show my ignorance, for which I apologise.
As there are other 30b cards out there, Bossk and Iggy that I know of, what run is this? I initially thought figures not on the back but Luke and Leia bugger that.
Thanks

Carl

I thought the figures were all graded? If the Yoda wasn't sealed in an AFA case then you should be able to carefully maneuver the footer back into its rightful place with a long pin. If however it is sealed in its AFA case, then presumably you would have to open up that case in order to access the bottom of the bubble. Unless of course there is another method of re-positioning the footer that doesn't require that access, but if so, I'm not aware of it? :?

I believe it is a run of the 10 figures which debuted on a 30b cardback, plus the Luke and Leia Bespins which debuted those particular pictures of the characters on their 30b cardbacks, the 30a versions having different images (http://starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35189).

Thanks, the fact Luke and Leia have two debut cards is certainly confusing, it doesn't take much at the best of times

All us Palitoy collectors can appreciate how unbelievably hard this set is to complete. Well done matey. I suspect this is probably the second known set like this in existence and in such fine condition too. Simply stunning.
