I was desperate and needed a jawa hit. I got a massive rush at the time - a 7 year old star wars junky!

I don't condone theft but............

Nowt wrong with that mate, just look at it as you were looking after it for him on a permanent basis

Something I have never told anyone since the day it happened, but I too once stole (or at least tried to steal) a Jawa from some kid's display when I was 7 at junior school. Somehow I got caught the same day and was made to give it back. I thought no-one saw me! Foiled!

That makes me feel better!

 all the dirty laundry is coming out now lads  I to have a death star commander and at at driver in my childhood collection. And for the love of me can't remember mum buying them. I hope they were swapped along the way with someone by myself or younger brothers :?

Jawas seem to be the root of a lot of childhood problems...

When I was 8, one of my friends (who had shed loads of figures etc) gave me one of his spare Jawas (he had several). It didn't have the cloak or gun. Several days later, he told the dinner ladies that I had stolen it and that he wanted it back. Wasn't happy at all, but not a lot I could do :( The worst thing was being accused of stealing, when he had definitely said I could have it.

Jawa's are definetly bad for your 'innocence' never mind 'health'

I did swap about loads of figures BITD as everyone I knew did but I can't ever remember nicking any :D (or did I ???....do you no I just can't remember, its all a little vague know   )

Shhhhhh...

I could never find a Princess Leia - when I was a kid we eventually found one on a jumble sale!

As I've probably rambled on about before, it's that stuff that got discontinued just before I got into Star Wars that seemed so.desirable. I started in 1980 and coveted Land Of The Jawas, Cantina, and Death Star. Oh, and Dewback but how was I to know it was never put out here.

There was a slightly older kid up the road who had all three. Right up until 1985 I would happlessly hope they'd turn up in shops. The rescue of the Landspeeder circa 1984 gave me hope.

Someone here mentioned that they thought the same about the Twin Pod Cloud Car in the ROTJ era. Anyone else have playsets or ships that they just couldn't get at the time?

I struggled to find Luke Bespin,Hammerhead & Ugnaught when I was a kid,I only saw an ROTJ Ugnaught for the first time when I moved to Scotland so that would've been 1985/86!

I had (well my parents did  ) had trouble getting me the Falcon....I wanted one for Christmas but ended up getting the airfix style model of one instead of the one for the actual figures  :( I were so pissed and my parents knew it,bless them they did try but just couldn't get one (think they bought me my AT-AT as a bonus present just after Christmas 8) )....

I did eventually get one off my mate he had **** loads of Starwars toys (jammy b'stard) but around 84' he got board of it and started to get rid of stuff,I swapped him a Connect Four board game and the electronic game 'Demon Driver' for it .....all complete Inc training ball, space chess etc...and I still have it to this day 8)

I haven't seen my old mate in a dog's age I bet he'd want it back if he knew I still had it  ...
