Hi everyone. I have recently found some star wars figures in my dads loft and was wanting to sell them if the price was right. They are as they are in the pictures, no weapons but in very good condition. Someone make me an offer please :)

depending on condition the yakface (blue trousers and cream camel like face) can fetch £175-£200

£50 for the lot trying to add to collection but very small budget

was that meant to be a pm and offer of £50 its worth loads more that that and you know it

talk about taking the piss and low balling  you know hes got a yak and lando general...cheeky!

Thank you so much to poncho for helping with the valuation of my figures.
They are now on eBay if anyone would like to have a look

Can't force the people to sell here but it's a shame making me think helping those signing up here ONLY for valuation seems wrong.

Current bid of £140 on eBay. Good luck with the sale. £50 was a low ball for even 20 years ago :|

Just making sure u have to spend thousands on figures and can't make a low offer are people not allowed to say no to offers then

"valuation requests only after 30 posts!" - rule is to be discussed!

(but I fear this will open door to "you got pm (top right)", right?) :?

What is frowned upon on this forum is offering (taking the piss) a silly price which may put the person off selling here - they then list it on ebay instead so forum members miss out.

On many occasions people have registered on here to get advice on value then go on to sell to members, it's a win win situation that benefits everyone - seller gets a good honest appraisal of worth and we get first crack at them at a fair price, but obviously we can't expect this to happen if we offer stupidly low prices.

Just my opinion, but making the offer of £50 must of made the guy feel quite insulted, especially when he came here for a fair and honest quote, and so in return he had taken them elsewhere. I do agree that seeing 'value my items,' and then never hearing from them again is quite rude on their behalf, but then again, some members get really nice items for fair prices because of it.

There's low offers and there's LOW offers. Imagine this situation...

You want to sell your car so you take it to a garage. They tell you it's a great time to sell as it's in demand at the moment and value it at 6 grand.

"Great" you say "do you want to buy it?"

"Certainly sir" they say "we'll give you 2 grand".

Do you stick around to barter or sod off somewhere you know you can get your 6 grand?

I was looking to sell the figures on here, I was unaware of the value so I asked for offers. I had no idea £50 was a ridiculous offer until another member sent a pm advising of the value, especially yak face. Someone even offered me £35 for the lot on here!! I went to eBay and got £256.

Imagine how annoyed you would be if you accepted a stupidly low ammount from someone who had purposely ripped you off.

Thanks for coming back and being honest. Its totally understandable that you took your items to ebay. Please don't think bad of this forum. As you can see from the replies to your original message, we are mostly an honest and open bunch of people. No one wants to see anyone ripped off.

Incidentally, who was it that offered you £35.
