Evening all,

Just wondering what everyones favourite Christmas tune is?

Really struggle with this but I think i'd have to go Fairytale in New York by the Pogues and whatever her name is that died in that speedboat accident

My father in law asked me to play him the Garry Glitter one the other day and was quite surprised to see it on Spotify

I think it was Kirsty McCall (spelling) sang it with them, but I didn't know she was dead.

Fantastic song, albeit very melloncolic.

1. Fairytale of New York - The Pogues FT: Kirsty McCall
2. Merry Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon
3. Last Christmas - Wham (shut up, it's a tune)
4. Merry Christmas Everyone - Slade (Fun fact: recorded in the heat of summer in New York. 1973)
5. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizard/Roy Wood
6. Stop the Cavalry - Jona Lewie

Some of my faves. Probably missing a couple. I shamefully quite enjoy Paul McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmastime' and Shaking Stevens 'Merry Christmas Everyone' Not to be confused with the Slade song of the same name.

That's another quality song, I couldn't remember the name of it earlier!

Ehhh.............something you wanna tell us!?
You one of George's "special" friends!?

PS, If I was feeling mischievous and didn't disapprove of changing people's posts, I would have edited what you put in brackets after your third choice! :D

Correcting you to say that i think you mean George Micheal will just make me sound even more gay... so i won't.

actually even though i am a slayer fan i am also a Joni Mitchell fan ,,eclectic. :)

this one is kinda anti christmas and good with the ladies, Joni mitchel - river

  hey that tune is too get chicks at christmas,, play that on an acoustic and listen for the splash

 wham??

This is getting like RS once the slagging starts it descends into gayness slinging .

once i read on a wall somewhere "Jonno is a bag of Gay" how do you top that.?

its a dublin thing,, the writer could not express in words how gay jonno was,,,, he was simply a "bag" of gay.
 priceless
