Farthest From IV

Chaps, I'm resigned to the fact that my beloved old motor isn't going to be ready in time for a 600 mile round trip this weekend- absolutely gutted. I'd much rather be in Fordingbridge than wrestling with a torsion bar under the car this Sunday, but there's always FFV in the spring I suppose... :(

Have a great time, all- and keep us updated with a photographic account of the festivities!

Martin

Ok pretty bummed about this but not going to make FF.

Too many family commitments over the weekend.

Oh well maybe next time :(

I'll be around setting up Saturday night, but also I have to go pick up a very special guest in the form of 12" Star Wars Super Collector Lee Bullock.

Heading further south than he has in his entire life, Lee will be on hand to discuss with you any questions you have regarding 12" Star Wars collectibles. He will also be doing a great presentation regarding the line:

"Large Size Action Figures, 12" figures eer... dolls call them what you will. These awesomely detailed figures are often underestimated in the collecting community. Be prepared to see rare figures from all over the world, strange South American bootlegs and even stranger licensed toys."

Also there is the opportunity to start the second series of Farthest From Trading Cards, which are free to attendees to collect at the show. Series 2 Cards 1-4 will be available this Sunday:

I should be there for a few brews.
Looking forward to see some Palitoy logo card backs.

I know a geezer who can knock those out for you out the back of his (camper) van.

:)

So excited now, with how busy I am at work this is a much needed weekend away. Looking forward to some nice cold pints talking Star Wars with like minded people.

Shame Martin and Rebel Runner can't make it, just make sure you guys make the Spring one!

hmmmmm cold pint .... sounds good

I have just taken delivery of £1400 of vintage collection and will also be thinning out some of my MOCs (mainly so I can have something to buy in the future) - so I hope you all come with your Christmas money ready to spend :D

This is going to be an expensive weekend. Anyone want to buy a spare kidney ?

It feels a bit like Christmas eve :D

Picking up the rental car tomorrow morning and then off on my epic road trip. Sounds like there will be plenty of vintage going. It's gonna be great :)

Just off for my last shift at work before I start my part of the epic FF road trip. I'm like a school kid before a school trip, got butterflies in my stomach. Roll on midday when I've finished and will be on my way to Didcot!!

See you guys soon. Jez, hope your heads not hurting too much!!
