Gutted that I can't make it due it in-laws visiting. Hope everyone has a good time. If anyone sees a Palitoy VC Jawa let me know..... Oops  Maybe not!!

As the local boy, I'm always the first home so can get the first comments in.

Dave Tree, your organising skills are as always very much appreciated. It was a great day. The horrible weather couldn't dampen what was the usual fun gathering of friends. There was a ton of vintage. The talks were interesting (if a little delayed lol). And, most importantly, the swfuk were well represented. You guys are the best.

Much love x

Mr first one of these events and it was awesome. No spoilers but there was some pretty special stuff there. Great to meet everyone and put some names to faces. Loads of interesting debate and discussion and some interesting panels.

Great event Dave, and cheers for the beer the night before.

Just managed to get JrJr into bed, he was still buzzin' when we got home...

Great day lads, good to see everyone and a few new faces too.

Got to meet the famous (infamous :?) Jason Joiner, the Vintage Draughtsmans work was awesome, Christians cases were looking good as usual, Iain Gary, Andy, Spookie and Fuzzy had Vintage galore. Jason had more cardbacks than I've had hot dinners. Lees 12 inches were amazing  (I missed the Kubrik talk  ), the Trilogo proof surprise was stunning.

Big thanks to Dave for sorting it all out, being the busiest man on the day but still finding time to dig out some extra Action Force for JrJr.

The cardback and bubble debate looks like it has fallen to the Darkside. The Toni examples were quite revealing, JJ's display was awesome and unique.

Bloody hell, what a rambling post, well what a day. :D

BTW Thanks to Grant, Iain, Fuzzy and Rich for making JrJr's day, and to Gary for having the patience of a saint having to re-price everything on his stall.

Cheers lads, best FF so far 8)

Got to add, anyone what to place a bet on what time Rich gets home?

That man is up there too, organising Secret Santa, bringing JJ to FF4 and completing a 12 hour round journey just to be there himself. Lege

Great to meet you mate, I am just sorry I didn't have DT Mumbo with me  Its alway hard bringing a Sock account to a real event

250 mile drive. Home in one piece.

Thanks for a great weekend guys :D

Great weekend at FF4 shared with some awesome collectors. I had a blast.

Got to agree Jason. I think the whole Tonigate situation has given a few more knowledgeable collectors a good incentive to work together which boosted the atmosphere a little.

We have all bonded better than the bubble on that Hammerhead

Just got back in - drive back was awful - some **** apparently going the wrong way down the M3, crash on the M11 and the weather was awful. Fee sorry for Rich as there is another crash on the A1 near Milton Keynes.

Still having said all that, it has been a great couple of days - even sharing a motor home (full of 5 lads after beers and a curry) couldn't put me off.

The talks were fantastic - it was great to meet a couple of living legends in Lee Bullock and Jason Joiner - and amazing to see so many SWFUK faces - this is becoming an unofficial forum meet-up.

Thanks to all those that spent their hard earned with me - pretty sure I have made it back into the wife's good books having just handed over all my takings!

Cheers to Jez for sorting out the motorhome

And finally thanks to Mr Tree - organising these things can't be easy yet they get better each time. After a very eventful week or so in vintage Star Wars world it was great to have a right old chin wag with everyone - and the mystery find at the end - well that was amazing and Joe O is going to be very annoyed that he couldn't make it down

Bloody hell Iain, I wondered what happened on the M3 :?

I went the other direction to you on the M11, plain sailing

Richard won't be home until Dec 24th, while humming driving home for Christmas

On the final leg back to flatcap and whippetland! Utterly knackered, but it been a thoroughly enjoyable and eye opening event. Really enjoyed meeting all of the crew and had a very open and honest discussion with Mr Joiner who I hope will continue to contribute here and continue the dialogue over past and present issues. Of course its always amazing to see my old school pains in the asses- Mr Tree, Gaz, Mark, Jamie, ODB, Jason smith and other guys that I have met oy a couple of times but I feel are all part and parcel of the same spirit we have here. I have to say this weekend has really fired me up again!

Thanks again for tolerating the northern monkey!

Lee

Sounds like you've all had a blast, great to hear :D

I've deliberately kept away from the forum this weekend, on account of not wanting to feel worse than I already did for not being able to attend

Great photo, Barry- looking forward to seeing more pics from the day...

Roll on FFV

Brilliant couple of days with so much vintage around today.
Like so many others have already echoed im looking forward to ff5.
Andy

Hi

No Toni wasn't there..

Anyway, here are a few photos. First up, some of the vintage wares for sale. I have never seen so much vintage up for grabs in all my years of collecting. There really was something for everyone, from the casual collectors to the most hardcore focus guys

What a fantastic weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday drinks and curry with everybody. Was good to catch up with old chums but also meet new faces.

Was great to finally meet Barry, Ben, Lee Bullock and Jason Joiner.

Jez, Grant, Jason and Iain, thoroughly enjoyed our trip down in the falcon. The banter and conversation on the way down were entertaining as always. Just not sure I would share a bed with Grant again!!!! :?

As for the Sunday, well, I haven't seen so much vintage for sale in one room since the days of old at Kempton Park Racecourse toy fairs back in the 90's. Was awesome to look at some amazing piece's for sale, shame I could buy a lot of it, was actually very sensible this time and only bought a couple of small bits.

As always a huge thank you to Dave and team for organising another superb FF. I know you have been mega busy this year with CE2 and 'Role Out Role Call' and we were getting a bit naggy about a date, but well worth the wait.

Now, when is FFV planned for then?!?!

Next up - talks

We had Mark doing his history of Kubricks

FFIV-049edit.jpg

If you aren't familiar with these here are a few that were for sale

FFIV-045edit.jpg

Then we had Lee Bullock speaking about 12" collecting. This man is on a mission to have the most complete set of 12" releases

Thanks to Dave Tree for putting this all together. Incredible surprise at the end with this sheet of carbacks

Got back at 01:30! One of the best days of my life.

Had a tour of JJ's house :o I don't know if I'm allowed to say what I saw so will keep quiet for now.

Great day out and many thanks to Dave for organising this. Some awesome opportunities for meet-ups are coming soon!

What was really pleasing was that there were no egos - just a room full of guys discussing Star Wars and sharing knowledge. And nasty beer and curry smells throughout the day

Too late

I know not everyone will agree but from what i've seen I think JJ is a stand up bloke. Every credit to him for coming along to FF. Next forum event round at JJ's place?

Thanks to everyone for making this a memorable weekend :)

thanks to everyone who came along, I hope everyone enjoyed it and for those that travelled distances it was worthwhile and great to meet up with everyone.
Although great things were on show, I actually think the Saturday night helped kick it off as everyone was relaxed and had fun, I really hope the future shows are more weekenders for folks :)

I'll be editing pics etc, but if anyone has pictures they are happy to share and allow me to use on the facebook page etc, that would be awesome :)

All the best,
Dave
