 I was keeping an eye on that, couldn't believe it when it was at £62, got a shock this morning when it went over £100 then wow finishing at £282 :o

How much do the Poons usually go for when sold honestly?

Jesus wept - this sums up all that is wrong with Ebay - this is a peice of **** fake - it did not come from a reputable dealer. Some poor sod has paid about £270 over the odds

I am sure A****W is a very happy punter at the moment, lets hope he doesn't examine it too closely when he gets it.

Looking forward to seeing the feedback.

Iain, these aren't worth more than a tenner then?

Sounds about right but I would have thought they might be worth a bit more to the right person. I have been considering getting one of the 'Prototype' Walrus Man customs, there is a loose one on the bay for £35 I think and 'Carded' one for £25. I would consider the £25 to save myself the effort of making my own one, wouldn't the Poon fetts be in a similar categegory?

Not really - think I sold two that I'd picked up to Frank for £15.00

It makes me so angry to think that there are people out there trying to pass off this ******** as real. That said, why anyone would spend £282.00 of their hard earned without doing some research first I will never know

I'd buy that for a dollar!

Your pricing was probably spot on, I would stretch to a tenner, maybe 20+ if Fett was my focus, but passing it on for real, thats just not cricket

$25.00 here in the states.

I came across this today, I got to admit that the 21 back looks like the real thing and pretty sure some of these could sell as real http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-star-wars-21-back-and-droids-boba-fett-moc-wow-take-a-look-/251192640671?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item3a7c3f849f&_uhb=1

The problem is that Mr. Poon works with the manufacturing base in China. He has a packaging manufacturer who prints these and they are dead on in respect to gloss, thickness and feel to original cardbacks. The bubbles are dead on as well. The only plus is that he has yet to fake the heat sealed effect to the bubbles (as far as I know).

It still went for £80+
And how can you tell it's fake? Is it the bag or the box?

Greg has nailed it, both box & figure are incorrect, fett never came in either that bag type or that box size, a pittiful atempt to decive, but hey thats every day when the words star wars baggie & ebay are used in the same sentance :|

I bought some repro bits and bobs a while back and was amazed how good they were. The only thing i would say is that the bubbles aren't the same as i remember them being or compared to my genuine carded figures. They have that thinner bit of the bubble at the bottom and the small card insert. Why is this? I don't mind because they are cheap and i'm not trying to fool anyone. Just wondering

Hi guys, just new to SWFUK and found this thread... what were the items on the last two pages to look out for? The link just goes to a Boba Fett overview page, maybe cos its old now...
And who is "Poon"? Is he a dodgy seller on ebay? So many questions :D

Poon is a mass market fake figure flooder (how's that for alliteration :D )

He sells the 'fake' super white stormtroopers on ebay with the same COO as the originals. You can tell them difference between the fakes and the originals but it takes a little time. He also sells black ones, which I don't have as much as a problem with as they can't easily be mistaken for originals
