i saw this about 5 days ago and sent them a message. they confirm its a real vc jawa but the weapon is a repro. im not convinced!

a few years ago i was interested in a toltoys jawa and got in contact with an ozzy guy who has one of the few carded examples to get some advice.

i remember him saying the main give away is that real toltoys ones have small dots on the cape that only become apparent over the years and is very hard to fake.

Its a joke that they sold for that, the poor buyer, uness they already knew, they will get a refund as they are fakes, he will probably get to keep the figure for nowt as well

That's if the seller accepts paypal, isn't he only accepting cash/postal orders etc ?

"PLEASE PAY BY PERSONAL CHEQUE , POSTAL ORDER , BANKERS DRAUGHT TO SAVE FEES FOR THIS LOT PLEASE."

Scumbag

I didnt read that bit, proper knob jockey...he knows exactly what he's doing, at least you would get his address so you could pay him a visit.

Instead of a SWF grading company we could have a SWF hired goons company, that would surely be a bigger success!

£100 per goon , sent out to bash scumbag sellers like this one

If this is Phil, he claims to be ex army + acts all tough, who reckons he is actually a spotty little git still living with his parents?

LMFAO! was just looking at this auction wondering whether i should post it for you guys. everything is 'Possible CUSTOM or PROTOTYPE'...dick!

One **** picture from an obscure angle and a 4 line description, but he says its legit, so I'm bidding...........................everyone else better back off!

I would love this Bossk to be real but it looks too good?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bossk-Star-Wars-Figure_W0QQitemZ180401827809QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN?hash=item2a00c96fe1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14

One **** picture and a one line description.............Fake.
Even before you look at the picture you should have alarm bells ringing. The card doesn't look right, nor does the bubble and the fact he hasn't shown you the corners makes me thinnk it's a square edged card and thus a blatant fake.

I'd stay well away!

Lovely oversized bubble and the brightest green foot stand I have ever seen 8)

anyone know how too spot a repro yoda snake. i seem them listed all the time on ebay and im wondering if my yoda snake which i aquired a few years back is original. ive found no sites on how too spot a repro snake thus far...any ideas anyone?

Another fake, this time a baggie.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Vintage-Rancor-Keeper-in-KENNER-Baggie-C-9-5_W0QQitemZ330362617745QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Action_Figures?hash=item4ceb257f91&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ht_5223wt_940

It WAS a tape sealed baggie as you can clearly see a piece of tape on the back of the bag, there is a fake heat seal at the top of the figure, you can see the bag just seems to end dead.

Stay away...

Same seller, fake heat sealed 8d8

http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Vintage-Figure-8-D8-in-KENNER-Baggie-C-9-5_W0QQitemZ330362617268QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Action_Figures?hash=item4ceb257db4&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14#ht_5225wt_940

Although there are a few out there (I have one , Del has seen two) heat sealed 8D8's aren't real, this one you can see the marks on the back again from old tape.

I would hazard a guess that his Jawa is the same , seems a very short baggie...?

Yeah I won a AT-ST driver in baggie from him. Turned out to be a fake too. When I asked him about it he began whining about the amount he paid for shipping and how he was losing out on the transaction. Bugger him, I'll get my money back through paypal and neg the ******.

Surprise- I have seen this seller many times over the year. Check out his completed listings(clear baged figures). He has used the same sales pitch for too long: "... friends staircase, stored in a box for ages... surprised to see them sealed in baggies...." No mention they are not real baggies, but it must have been a huge box  He also got about $AUS30 each for a few badly recarded figures but 8D8 was less than $10

You mean, they AREN'T genuine!?
How can you tell!?

That squid and Luke jedi are meant to look like the prototypes pictured in the meccano catalog (the Squid is also pictured on Return Of The Jedi card backs and the Jabba The Hutt play set). despite the RS site says a black version of the cape was never released, there once was a limelight from a guy who had an Back cape squid, carded white cape bib and many more extremely rare prototype figures that had all been graded by AFA and a COA off Tom Derby (i can't find the thread now, but i am sure i saved the pic's on my home computer). So that's why the capes are black, but still it is obvious these are fakes.

See more info about the luke here:
http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=39715 (also note the prototype Luke jedi in robes figure with a different mold)
