Hello ,

I just recieved this Yak face staff that i paid 15 dollars for on ebay and it was advertised " original" . Looks like a repro to me, but im no expert, so any help would be much appreciated.

Hey mate,

Too hard to tell from the pics you've provided. I've had couple of repro versions of these in the past, Best way to tell from my experience is a real one will float in water where as most repros will sink. Most of these are made from either clear or black plastic and painted grey so a quick scratch with your finger nail or a sharp edge should scrape off any painted surface.

There's also a bounce test which I'm not to up with.

Well i have a staff thats defiently real , and i have this one, and they differ slightly. i tried the website and the test, still not sure but. Thanks for the help but.

What's the difference between your 'real' one & this one? And for $15 I hope you got Nikto as well: Item number: 120978729078

On the weapon guide the real one has a 2 litte bumps on the left side when facing towards you, and it's the opposite with the repro which is the on I have .

I see what you mean the injection points are opposite. I don't have enough of them to confirm if real ones have the injection points available on both sides.
edit. yes there are Kenner versions with the mould/ injection points on either side

If your displaying your mocs In a place with no sunlight and no chance of damage , what's really the point of getting star cases? Not trying to be rude , just wondering

It keeps the cards flat, there is always a chance of damage- accidents happen....
