Three MOCs I've bought in the last couple of weeks have arrived with undisclosed ink touch-ups  Two from eBay and one from Facebook. Is there a new pandemic of it happening? I remember getting a couple before years ago but not almost 50% of the time! Bloody annoying.

I used to see more of that like 15 years ago when people did not know better. The thing is if you are selling them now, you know better and the touch-ups are easily spotted.

Slightly away from your point about MOC's, but there's some guy on ebay openly selling loose touch ups, like he's doing the hobby a favour!

Scut something or other. He basically touches up the original paintwork so it looks new, adds a repro weapon, and then sells it back into the market. He's open about it, but after he's sold his figures, I doubt the receiver will be so open about the touch ups if they want to move it one.

It is annoying now because of AFA/UKG etc. I wouldn't expect many to touch up MOCs/MIBs Now!
Years ago pre grading companies it wasn't such a crime to tart up a card or box a little bit. I didn't c it as being such a big deal back then but now I guess I do!!

It's well annoying had a couple expensive items refused for grading because of ink touch ups. One of the reasons I stopped grading myself.

Yeah I thought the days of ink touch ups and sellotaped bubbles died out with The Spice Girls! I'm surprised they haven't all been U-graded by now.

Ha! I bought a walrus man off that guy thinking it was pretty minty failed to read all the description which wasn't exactly advertising the touch up. Didn't realize till it arrived. V annoying

I agree with the issue of them circulating for def

Sold it for what it was for 99p before I thought of that tho

:) :)
