Ever wanted a decent DT saber replica set?

Guys,

Firstly,i am not a repro weapon fan in most circumstance, but these pieces are outstanding in every way.I have always wanted a decent set of DT sabers, and missed out on Valves sabers 5-7 years back.

I am pleased to say that ReValveit is now producing his perfect DT sabers replicas again. Now there has been a lot said in the past on RS about his replicas, and about how they can be used for the wrong thing but honestly,if you want something that looks almost indentical to the real thing then go for these.Craig is a great guy to deal with, and very very helpful. His sabers are absolutely amazing, and will compliment any collection very well.I think everyone will admit that they can purchase a real DT Luke for a fairly good price, but whats the chance of ever owning Ben and Vader??? Some veterans will remember the hard work that Craig put in to make these possible, and i think he has done a great job.He isnt charging the earth like some Ebay sellers, and the prices some repro DT's have commanded in the States over the last few years is diabolical.

Anyway,if you have any interest, hit Craig up with a message on his site-or you can even by from the site directly.

Seriously, these are a bargain and ive heard many veteran collectors praising them.

Again,i would just like to say that these are the only repros i have in my collection and that i am in no way promoting the use of repros across the board.

Cheers

Lee

you should go into sales

Well, technically my job says i have to :D but thats selling building gear 8)

I just thought that some peeps might be interested in these.I know what will happen on Rebelscum so dont wanna go there.I was there when he first mentioned these way back, and the reception was mixed, and as James said there was a lot of problem with him not marking them as repros. However,he has in the past stopped Ebay sellers describing them as real, and has even said that on RS a few times-so he has helped police them aswell.A few Ebay auctions have been pulled because of his info too.

To be fair if idiots on eBay want to bid them up that much, that's really not his wrong-doing!

I really hate repros!!!! but i've just bought a set of the DT and ST......I need to be able to tell the difference between these and the real thing :?

:) Just bought a set, no guilt or feeling bad. these will go on my beater Ben, Vader and Farmboy which i have had since i was 5 and i will never sell them.

And truthfully displayed in a case in the figures hand nobody except folks off here would know if they were repro .
And most normal joes wouldnt give a monkeys if they were DT or standard sabers.

so i am made up that i picked up some weapons to finish off some figs that were missing bits since i probabably chewed the origionals

Tell ya what, these sabers turned my weaponless 'drawer fodder' figures in to one of the focuses of my collection.

They go for up to £30 each on eBay (each saber, not set) which makes the website price an absolute bargain.

Can't loose, really!

Just had a mail from revalveit, apparently he's redone his DT's and made them even better:

They look crazy good. Very tempted.

Oh my, even with lettering now. Bad news. :(

not good, but the letters don't look very real - what are they ll?

This explains the price hike, they were £16 a set when I bought mine

Am I failing to see something here? Why add the letters unless you are trying to confuse folk?

I mean having a nice Repro for display is one thing....but why add something you won't see easily on a loose figure?

Because they know loads of dodgy bastards will buy them and try to pass them off to the rest of us as real.
These guys are doing real damage to the hobby :(

Ooooo! I'm interested in these. I think with the limited funds that I have, it is safe to say that I'll never get a real DT figure. Therefore these will be highly appreciated as display pieces in my collection!

Exactly JK...

I'm all for discernible repros to 'finish' loose figures, as long as they have details (however minor) to distinguish them from original pieces. I myself have used a number of them on my old, beater toys - including a helmet for my Stormie Luke posted on here just today...

However trying to make complete indistinguishable repros is in my opinion damaging and negligent.

Just my 2p's worth.

Does anybody have an image of this certain set of repros against the orginals? If they really are inseperable regarding appearance then I'd agree with you. People will undoubtfully pass these on as the real deal, which seriously is not good. :(
