Even now ppl get it wrong

You know on occasion you tell someone something and they get it all wrong

for instance when i tell ppl i am a fan of the friday the 13th films and they get em mixed up with halloween

well today at work i told someone i was going to go to the star wars event in london and they come out with the crap..... not another trekkie, i mean for ****s sake dont they know the difference

anyone ever say that to you if u tell em you are a star wars fan and its alsoso embarrising telling people you collect toys.....I always make sure I quickly state I dont play with them incase they think different lol

Gotta say I don't talk about my collecting too much, except on here. None of my mates has any interest, and I know they would laugh if I told them.
The missus think's it sad as ****, but then I just threaten to rip up her homework so she shuts up. :lol:
Also, there aint too many conventions in Belfast so I'm safe enough :lol:

I don't care what people think, so if I get a really good find I'll bulletin on Myspace. I post updates to my collection on Myspace. I link to loads of Toy based forums through my myspace.

The other day in film studies just after the lesson we were discussing "The Lion King" and I'd been doing a bunch of work on Star Wars so I interjected with "You know, Mufasa is voiced by the same person as Darth Vader." to which my teacher said "Oh yes, and do you know who that is?" I stood there in deep thought for a few seconds because I knew the answer, just forgetten momentarily. She then said "Oh and you're supposed to be a Trekkie". A look of horror came across my face and I ran out of the room. Ten seconds later I stuck my head back in and said "James Earl Jones". 8)

But most of my mates think my collection looks awesome and are jealous.

I have a mate who collects vintage trainers and he gets waaaayyyyy more stick than i do. :lol: :lol:
