Episode VII London Premier

Just an off the cuff idea, I take it there'll be some big fancy premier of Episode VII in London upon it's eventual release. I also take it that tickets will be as rare as rocking horse sh#t but I'm sure that someone on this forum will have friends in high places etc and maybe we could secure a number of tickets and arrange some kind of swfuk group outing? :roll:

Premiers tend to be just for cast and crew members and T.V. stars from shows like eastenders, (don't ask me why). I can imagine if there are any spare tickets that it'll only be the A list people from both of those categories who may get some.

You never know but I'm not even sure if Gary's mate who gives him early morning phone calls (that's not a euphemism), will even be able to get in. Maybe a first night screening in people's areas would be more realistic?

Actually most première tickets go to partners of the film company. I was lucky to attend The Prestige première as few years back as I work in Licensing (not the booze licensing) and have been invited to many many more but have had to turn them down for one reason or another (mainly because I didn't fancy the film....last one I was invited to was The Postman Pat Movie!!)

I actually have a few contacts at Disney (even have a meeting with one of them a week today) so I'm going to ask about tickets....although I'm fairly certain that I wont stand a cat in hells chance!

nice idea but i get the feeling the new films are still gonna suck massive balls, lucas should have stopped after jedi, the last 3 were shocking! talk about milking the franchise.

I've been to several premiers for films I've worked on as part of the crew and never once been offered any spare tickets, in fact it's been really hard to get tickets for all of the crew at times. It just shows you how much the film companies really think of the crew members :lol:

I can imagine the Star Wars tickets being as rare as wonka golden tickets although I'm sure there will be a few competitions going on near the time of release to attend. You never know though, there might be someone on here who has some contacts so it's always worth a shot.
