episode 7 to be filmed in UK!

I think that they will get it right, they are always going to try and tick the boxes to put bums on seats, but wit JJ on board, I think they will definitely be sensitive to the originals

Lets hope we are in for a treat

Can't wait

It's gonna be the bollocks. They know what we want and what we don't want. There'll be no Jar Jar this time round i'm sure of it :D

How d'ya reckon you go about being an extra?

I used to be an extra. Basically you need to find out what company or company Disney are gonna contract to supply the extra. Could be one of many or they could use several. Or they could just put an add in the paper asking for extras. Some films do this to save money and if i had to guess i'd say this is more than likely with how easy it'll be for them to get people to sign up for free to be in these things. So really you need to ask around, do a bit of research and find out how they're gonna be doing it. Perhaps call an agency and ask them if they know who will be supplying the extras for the upcoming Star Wars movies. Good chance they will know. Whether they'll tell you is a different matter. I used to work for 20/20 casting agency (they did a lot of TV and also the Bond films) but there are loads just google. Find the big ones.
Be warned you usually have to pay money to join an extras agency and you are not guaranteed work. If you do get work quickly (as i did) it can pay well. £100-200 a day on average but REAAALLY boring and long hours (sometimes 15+ hours).
The only other way i know of that companies use to get extras is the competition route but this is usually for smaller set ups where only a dozen or so extras are needed. A lot of US sit-coms used to do this (Seinfeld, Friends etc).

Pete.
