My 8 year old nephew is showing a keen interest in vintage Star Wars but I have had to tell his mum that I'd advise him not to visit this site due to the rambling and language used by a certain American visitor and the replys this individual justifyibly recieves...

I know I have contriuted to the above by calling Auggie a 'cock' and a 'retard' but I think it's time we all put an end to this and start a petition to ban him...

I understand the internet is supposed to be a place of free speach and expression, but certain people should be removed when the balance is disrupted and the majority offended...

I will try very hard to hold back from now on and I hope others can do the same, but please do post a polite reply if you agree with the above and hopefully a moderator will take notice (and then the kids can visit!).

I don't think the banter on this forum has ever been "child friendly" even before Augie turned up. Certianly, Augie's threads are worst than most but many others would also fail the 8 year old nephew test.

The reasons for banning Auggie are more obvious. He is a forum troll that adds no value to any of the discussions and is now dispised/hated by most regular members who post here.

I would never recommend that an 8 year old visits this site, Auggie or not!

He has a point!
The language and general ehh humour on here can be quite adult at times. He may be ok, if he stays away from "Off topic" but how do you keep him out?

I agree Auggie should be banned though!

its led to porn being posted on here and some vile comments from tiefighterboy who seems more deranged than the rest of us put together!

Fair point, let's leave the Young kids out of this, just sign if you want Auggie banned then.

Banning him may not be as simple as it sounds. Trolls have a habit of signing up under multiple accounts (as he has done so already on his own forum) and returning. It's more effective to ignore them in this case. You also need lots of reactive moderation to remove their posts. We did this for over 2 years on a forum I used to moderate before the troll finally left us.

The only problme is Edd seems happy enough to let us police ourselves on here. I guess he will either have to check up on us more often or let a few others, who are on more often, have mod powers.

With a couple more active mods removing obvious posts though, he'd soon get bored. You'd think :?

i have asked edd about this but got no reply

yeah ...enoughs enough, and even if that tosser trys to rejoin as another user then it wont be hard to spot him as he clearly has nothing worth saying. its a shame really as we all like a laugh and the odd poke of humour towards certain members for there little ways (jabba,weasel,craig,bollox.....**** off, before you use this quote against me  )

but twats like him are just not welcome anywhere, never mind the internet, ****in shame they let idiots buy computers....

just get rid, he can post what he likes on his own site, anyway why the hell would you join a site to let the members know youve just started another site on the same subject (poaching), .........your missing the point augie noone ****in likes you, let alone wants to talk to you - you crazy bastard

I most likely have posted far nastier things than auggie could ever dream of. This is an adult site. The official star wars website does maintain a star wars kids website and my three young ones really enjoy it. I would never let them in this forum as it is adult based with or without auggie, with or without profanity. Auggie does need to go however, he brings out the worst in me
