What does everyone think about this? the ebay community forums have gone nuts, imagine selling something and 6 months later being asked to provide postage proof and evidence of condition ect or getting a not as described case and someone returning a knackered item for a full refund

at first i thought it was just electrical goods but there was an update on ecommerce: UPDATE: a PayPal UK spokesperson said the 180 days is for all transactions - tangible and intangible.

does anyone know if this allies to second hand goods too? ive not read ebays terms fully yet?

thing is your listings dissapear after 90 days so how the hell can you defend a dispute? someone can buy a star wars figure and accidentally snap his head off, complain it dropped off and return it for a refund 5 months later?

i could understand this rule on business sellers, selling new goods but EVERYTHING....this will kill sellers, great for scammers and buyers though.

the ebay us forum members are saying they will block bids from UK buyers as the 180 day policy applies to their sales too

That's daft. If that comes through it will kill Ebay. Literally.
Why would you sell knowing in 6 months someone can come back and lodge a claim that you have virtually no chance of defending?
