Ebay selling fees

So very rarely I sell on ebay, I was quite disappointed to find they even take the commission off the postage. £13 odd for an item of £105 including postage of £9.19 😡
No wonder a lot of sales are on Facebook groups these days.
 
They always have - or at least they have for the last 10 years. I only ever sell on an offer day, otherwise it's around 13%. Not great but you tend to get more reach than Facebook
 
Time flies I suppose, unless I never noticed the way the fees were added before - although they were cheaper then so obviously didn't bother me as much.
I had a limited reach, as item was a reptile egg incubator 🙄
 
I only ever list stuff on a 70 or 80% off fees weekend these days.

Like you say, the fees on the final selling price, plus their 25p standard fee per sale then VAT on top if can work out quite a chunck.

I'm the same mate I will only list items once I receive an offer I do miss the £1 only selling fee days but 70% off is better than nothing.
