Word of warning all. Bought a very nice ROTJ moc piece from this seller. It arrived today in a star case wth a piece of bubble wrap on one side and then stuffed into a jiffy bag.

Luckily the star case was the only thing that was crushed and the card and bubble were undamaged.

According to his ebay description he is planning on selling off the rest of his collection so be warned if you do come across a few of his things.

I did win this item with a best offer (managed to get 25% off the original price) so not sure if he was pissed off that way and sent it in a bag. I have mesaged him but as of yet not heard anything back.

Sorry to the mods if this is in the wrong place but thought this would be the best and quickest way to warn people

it doe seem a bit stupid to send fragile expensive items through the post without protection especially when the condition is the reason there so expensive.
but it does seem to happen a lot,
i think id tell them before paying to make sure its wrapped correctly and that id return if it arrived damaged.
the post office do not pay out on insurance either for damage caused during transit , ive tried before and was told if it broke it was not wrapped good enough ans was sent a 12 pack of stamps for a 110 pound item

Thanks for the heads up silver grin. Am currently looking at some of his figures. Recently had a bubble smashed on a figure i bought because it was posted in just a jiffy bag with a bit of bubble wrap.

Can't believe somebody would send a carded figure in a bloody jiffy bag!!!

Glad it was undamaged for you though mate.

Cheers Stu.

Got a message back from him today saying he didn't realise it would be a problem - I am staying well clear now!

Dodged a bullet!

"Didn't realise it would be a problem"!? **** off!

He got your money and couldn't be arsed to wrap it properly so he just stuck in a jiffy bag and that was it. It wasn't didn't think it would be a problem is was 'didn't give a ****'!

Although the packing job is lame at least it was in a star case and not just stuffed in the envelope with bubble wrap.

yeah I am grateful he did at least do that! I think I am very lucky and am glad the bubble and card are undamaged. Just wanted to warn everyone on here

Close escape Nick! At least the figure is undamaged.

If they arent known sellers I always send them a message asking for the item to be sent in a strong box before payment. Then you know they will read it. When they reply I then pay. Otherwise as soon as they have the money they dont give a **** about reading messages.

He had some very very nice stuff up for sale.

Same thing has happened to me. It happened earlier this year with some Visionaries MOCs. And this was even after i'd messaged him asking him to make sure they were packed properly. After days of back and forth and getting ebay/paypal involved i managed to get 30% of my money back (i wanted 50) but i'd much rather have paid full price for undamaged MOCs.
