I'm sure like many of you I have lots of saved searches on eBay which are quite highly filtered to weed out the crap. But today they came through with all kinds of random and unrelated shite in them, including bras

Has anyone else noticed this? Have eBay changed their search algorithm or something? Hope I'm not going to have to start from scratch!

I had a load of trainers come up in my recently viewed items the other day... did think I had been hacked.

After a few refreshes they had gone and my account wasn't compromised... very strange happenings.

I have on occasions scratched my head and wondered why some items were in my lists but I don't recall it being too bad and not just recently. The same thing can happen on just normal searches.

I think they are attempting to alter the algorithm to include promoted or premium items as some of my Action Force searches are returning items from outside the Toy parameters. I think they are going the same way as Google, Facebook and Youtube by forcing stuff onto people even if their preferences say otherwise.

Sellers with business accounts that become top sellers will have items that automatically appear near the top of searches despite not being exact to the search. So all it takes is for your search to be similar to a top sellers items and they will appear.

Be careful searching for 12" Toys. :D

I've had this Edd. I've got a few saved for various vintage toys and Star Wars and what I find is you randomly lose some of your refinements like if you've specified UK only you lose it and loads of stuff in the US appears. It's a ballache
