ebay postage cost problem

I won an item of ebay last week. Got a card from royal mail today saying they have a parcel for me but the seller didn't pay enough postage so I owe £5.20. I'm 90% certain that parcel is that ebay item.

Checking the guys feedback he has a few reds, one of which the item was sent to the wrong address and the buyer had to pay for it to be sent to him with no refund from the seller. Also this guy also seems to have a problem e-mailing people.

What would you guys do in this situation?
Ask for a refund or some money towards the extra postage?
Pay the Royal mail fee then ask for a refund?

I'd pay then request cash from the seller.

pay it and then try and get the money back from the seller. Or dont collect it and report it to ebay as you have not received it

depends what item is ,if its some ultra rare once in a life time item i would just pay as i couldnt be arsed with the messing around

i payed when it happened to me - the seller was apologetic and popped the difference into my paypal

paid it - e-mailed the seller telling him I had to pay extra and on top of that the item was damaged which he also now knows about.

I'm giving him a week to respond then neg him

probably no point putting a paypal claim in since I got the item, they won't care

what was it ,if its a damaged carded fig i know someone who may take it off your hands scheap :wink:

Time to leave this guy a neg.
So I went into the leave feedback, typed a reason and hit ok. Got a page saying you are about to leave a neg are you sure you want to - and the button for actually going ahead is greyed out - WTF???
Any suggestions??

ok - I left the feedback. There is a stage where you have to click 3 boxes - I thought you only had to click one as 2 didn't apply to me. clicked them all, neg left
