Hey Guy's

I was on ebay the other day and came across a Tri logo Anakin Skywalker Moc, it was listed as being recarded with a reproduction card and bubble this was made clear in the listing and was not deceptive, the picture was ok (very dusty and in need of a clean) I took one look and thought it looked right and I did not think it was a reproduction so I pulled the trigger £20 delivered..!

Arrived today great packaging and I think it is legit, I think the person selling may have thought it was a reproduction card because the front of these are really glossy.

What do you lot think.?

POINTS:

* CARD FRONT IS GLOSSY / BACK OF CARD IS DULL / MATT - THINK THIS IS RIGHT FOR THESE LAST 17 FIGURES.??
* FULL WAFFLE HEAT SEAL
* JUST LOOKS AND FEELS RIGHT

:) score looks good to me.

Some trilogo fronts are glossy. You can see his thinking. He should of researched it more...

more fool him haha

good for you buddy 8)

You would be surprised at just how many sellers list factory sealed figures as reseals/recards when there is nothing wrong with them! I think Iain picked one up not so long ago too.

There was a guy who used to post on here called Nick who thought he had picked up some recards (Palitoy ROTJ figures with Trilogo bubbles on) so he listed them on eBay for £20!!..I tried to tell him to pull the listings as they were legit (and quite hard to find) but they had already sold

Your Anakin looks fine to me although it's worth mentioning that as far as Trilogos go, the presence of the waffle pattern is actually a bit of an anomaly. I've only ever seen it on these small bubble Anakins but just to confuse matters not all of them have it (seen more without than with actually). I wonder if that had anything to do with the sellers decision?

Cheers Joe I was trying to send you a PM so you could have a look at it but could not see the option on your profile.?

I can see how people would think they are reproduction as the front almost looks laminated it is that glossy, lucky for me I had read through your website and Stephane Faucourt's wonderful book on numerous previous occasion's where the glossy look is noted.

Cheers mate.

Dean.

Cracking pick up! Haven't got one of the small bubble Anankins myself and would have pulled the trigger at twice the price so you've got yourself a proper bobby bargain :) Nice one.

A couple of years ago there was a guy who had several Anakin Tri-logos with the bubble like yours. I think they were a back-room find. I bought one of him. It looks and sounds exactly as your describing.

I think a lot of people get confuzed by anything Palitoy with an a-typical bubble.

These are the ones Joe was talking about

Good memory, my god that was six years ago!

PS: For the life of me I couldn't work out why the phishing site warning was coming up on that thread but just realised it was Chris's picture linking back to TIG that was doing it. Do you know when that'll be fixed AJ?
