Do you think I got my point across!

Are you sure they are fake?

Palitoy did on occasion use oversized trilogo bubbles if they were on hand and the cards look pretty damn good for 10year old reprints, I mean 2010 reprints look **** at times and they look pretty good quality to be fake (and old fakes!)

I could be wrong but you never know, they look kinda good to me.

More pictures here perhaps and end your auction in case you are mistaken ? lol

They are definitely fake Joe. They look nothing like my other palitoy cards and bubbles. The squid head even has a little round piece of plastic in with the figure. They've just sold for £20 so I'm happy taking that!

I'm sticking with real sorry mate, trilogo oversized bubbles are not your standard Palitoy snug fit and were 100% used on some 65backs, card stock can vary but I see nothing really wrong from the pictures at least.

I mean if you are happy with your 20 notes thats fine but I am pretty sure they were real.

RebelChris has an actual Palitoy Rebel commando 65back with an over sized tri bubble and I will ask him for pictures to show you but if you take a look at this cardback it shows the old bubbles size and its pretty much bang on to the size of yours -

Oh well, **** happens I suppose!

From looking at them from the back there is definitely a "ridge" all around where the bubble is glued to the front. I'm not sure about tri-logo bubbles as I haven't got any but my brother has and from what I remember those bubbles are not like these ones. Did the tri-logo's have square corners?

Yep squared and etched and rounded, trilogo bubble variations are a bit of a minefield!

I mean I still could be wrong but i'll ask around see if I can get some others to chime in on things for you, sorry if it was a mistake about them being recarded :(

Edit- the square line visible on the back is very typical of trilogo cards, its from the pressure of the heat seal and it creates an impression on the back like the one you had on the cards, modern replicas are normally glued or taped and there is no pressure put on the cardback to seal the bubble.

Don't worry about it Joe, i'm grateful for any advice/input from all. Either these have been cared for by George Lucas himself, especially the Squid Head or they are recards.

If I have any other ones that i'm worried about i'll post them on here first

Hopefully I haven't though

Well Chris messaged me back with this :
Yea man, those were definitely Tri-Logo bubbles on Palitoy cards. I have a few of them and they all look like that. They are usually fairly easy to spot because of the "squared" off corners on where the bubble attaches to the card.

Here's a pic of three of mine so you can see for reference.

That pic is a 65B with Double Stem bubble and two 65C's. One with the Palitoy bubble and one with the Tri Logo bubble.

And I indeed think its a good idea for you to post up pics of any others in the future, didn't mean to sound know it all in this thread but you made someone very happy for 20 quid! No-one would have bought 2 recards for 20 quid but they would have (and did) snap up some nice Palitoy variations on the cheap :(

Cheers Joe! You've cheered me right up! FUUUUUCK!

You could risk a negative and not send them to the buyer but everyone loves a
bargain and at least you put a smile on someones face today!

I dunno, I would be pretty pissed if I had let them go at that price but equally
pissed off if I snagged them cheap and the git pulled a fast one and never
sent them lol

You could also forget everything I have said and I won't ever mention it again ?

If you decide to honour your deal, I would definitely tell the buyer as he might otherwise rip the figures from their cards.

Old ice man has one as well in his Han Hoth focus :
