Everything i have is on my display, mainly for the nostalgia. The limited foreign stuff is to demonstrate the global appeal. I own a mini museum not an investment. I haven't sold anything yet. Anything i do sell will be the MOCs that i got first, which mean the least, in order to allow me to get my mitts on some of my real wants.
I told my Lad that he will inherit my collection. He jumped for joy, but then quickly told me that he doesn't actually want me to die, so we agreed that he can share it with me now.

Collect for the enjoyment and love of vintage figures, I suspect the number of people that collect for the money only is small and smaller still the number that truly make money.
