disapointing films?

Now watching cowboys and alien. Bit poor really, anyone like it?

Meh, thought it started off well enough but falls into the traps that every other film does at the moment. If you've seen 'Super 8', that has, basically, the exact same ending in a different setting.
In all fairness 'Super 8' is much better but still a fairly generic, unoriginal ending.

Glad my copy died half way through then :lol: saved me the empty feeling of yet another poor ending - super 8 was ok, but just above average, reminded me a bit of stand by me, but that was a better film all round.

If you want poor films go watch "quest for fire" - its the pit's, got it from the video shop to watch with my mum when I was about 14 - never been so bloody embarrassed in my entire life, I will save you the disappointment of watching - its about a group of cave men, there fire gets put out & they don't know how to make it, so 3 of them go on a quest to find some & bum (yes I did say that) everything in sight on there way - she watched the whole bloody thing to, I was praying she would switch off after the first scene, but you know how mothers, they do like to embarrass you init.

Yeah, that will teach me to choose a **** film eh, funnily enough it had a positive impact on my life in that I now check everything in finite detail, like checking the small print so I don't look that much of a dumb-ass twice in one lifetime :lol:

100% agree - biggest let down I have ever had with a film. I love stuff like that - but this was so badly done

I read the book a few years before the film came out and was so excited when I heard they were making it into a film, inside 5 mins I got that sinking feeling. At the end I walked out of the cinema, just before the credits rolled.
WHY does Hollywood have to re-write everything? I'm actually surprised they didn't change the end of the Titanic film so the ship didn't sink and everyone survived.
