Did the 30 back Yoda ever come with an orange snake?

I've been looking at images of the 30 back Palitoy Yoda and haven't noticed one with an orange snake, does anyone out there have one?

I used to have one growing up although I've no idea if it was Palitoy as I know this figure was also shipped to the UK on a Kenner card so it would be nice to hear your thoughts.

Cheers all - Ian

My example had a brown snake, as has all the others( which admittedly isn't many) I have seen.

Don't know if any other Palitoy collector can chip in though

Thanks letting me know about yours, I know there are a fair few Yoda collectors out there so hopefully we can shed some more light on this topic.

I didn't think there were any recorded sightings of an Orange Snake Yoda on any Palitoy release apart from the Trilogo?

Looks like you're both right about the tri logo orange snake. I've taken a look at Mr Palitoy's card back matrix and it says the same thing. I always thought the orange snake was the first released one over here as that was what I had growing up and it was bought when it first came out here in the UK. I had heard that Kenner ones were shipped to the UK so I guess this is what I had. It seems like I somehow ended up with all the rarer issue figures growing up but the funny thing is those were the issued figures that all my friends had at the same time. Maybe Bristol was a special place for the original Star Wars releases........well either that or as someone said here before they just thought we wouldn't mind having all the dodgy 12 back large head Hans!

Half way up Park Street in Bristol was the only place in the world I could find MOCs in Feb 1995.

Got an ESB Maintainence Energizer for £10.....and, and......and, check this:

IT HAD INSERTS! :D

Blew my tiny mind.

Love Bristol :p

Well I had a look to see if I could find any Palitoy Yodas and all I found were these few...

All snakes are brown

That's a lot of love for those brown snakes! Great to see them all together and as I thought that the first issue Kenner Yoda had an orange snake (could be wrong about that), does it seem a bit odd that it didn't make it to the UK until so late in the day?

You have got to love Bristol once you can move forward from it being built up from the slave trade....oops, bit of history that's not so good!

Still it was a great place to be bought up and my local toy shop as a child called Martins in Kingswood was always stocked with Star Wars back from 78 onwards. They kept all their figures in wicker baskets so who knows how the bubbles held up (although they weren't punched at least). I got to meet both Darth and Boba there as well when they went out on tour, some crazy times! :D

Now that is one sexy piucture!  8)

Thanks.

Just need to find a 45a now!

I have personally only seen the brown version and a reseal orange version which obviously proves nothing but unless I am mistaken I know a collector who has the orange version! Out of the two I'd want the orange example on a 30 back all day long! 8)

Nice Pic Gary

By any chance did that Miscard come over from Germany ? And i agree a 30 bk yoda orange snake would be way cool.

Thanks

Vince
