Apparently true

I THINK it's the Faeroe Islands rather than Denmark. Faeroe's are a semi autonomous park of Denmark.
I know the Japanese have something similar were they slaughter Dolphins in a narrow gorge every year and the sea turns red with Dolphin blood.

Pretty ****ing disgusting.

Mind you when most western Governments turn a blind eye to Whaling that's for "scientific research" the chances of them doing anything about this, beyond bland diplomatic "we condemn it" BS, is nil!

Who ever thinks humans / god was played any part in creating this earth are disillusion, we truly are the most advanced virus on this planet, just looking at their faces i want to rip their heads off.

Andy, This sh*t blew my mind. Being an animal lover myself, I too would like to hurt (badly) every cu*t in that river slashing those dolphins. Fu*king hate those bast*ards.

Sadly it in out nature to destroy ourselves/each other & everything beautiful & harmonious on this wonderful world in which we live, I have seen this before & it really does turn your stomach, sad state of affairs but not unexpected sadly.

Proper ****ed up

The recreational hunting/killing of animals is something I don't get at all. I could understand if somewhere was overrun with rats or whatever, but these things aren't vermin. The people killing them are vermin :x

I was so hoping this was a joke in bad taste :!:

I am utterly repulsed by this, cannot find a shred of reasoning behind it.

Culture, tradition, whatever what a disaster, are we really that backward as a race :?:

I cannot begin to convey how much this has depressed me

Come on...there is simply no need :!:

These are one of the most intelligent life forms we have, far superior to us obviously

Still dragging our knuckles in the dirt dude, put it this way - if intelligent aliens passed out world to have a look, I am sure the thoughts would be along the lines of - "we'll come back in about a thousand years & see if they have matured any" :|

Are there any petitions or societies set up for this...I'd sign

People who can do this sort of thing to a sentient being, IMO are cruel and vicious ...can we really trust people that can harm in this way...is this not a worry?
Surely in this day and age pressure can be levied and laws put in place,
These type of pointless cruel actions need to be stopped

This still goes on each year.

Sea Shepherd are an organisation that take direct action to stop it.

I am very proud to support this charity as an occasional volunteer and monthly donor. They are one of the few environmental charities who actually try to stop this **** happening. They are not a campaigning organisation but a direct action organisation.

Someone I know is currently volunteering on one of their ships in the Southern Ocean, she has given up months of her life to defend these innocent creatures. They will put their boats in front of those doing the killing.

Support them financially if you can - I've cancelled all my other charity direct debits and give it all to this organisation as they actually make a difference, rather than spending cash on campaigning and talking!

Disgusting stuff!

As Paul said Sea Shepherd are outstanding, one of the few charitable organisations that actually take action. We were fortunate to get a tour on one of there ships when they were docked here in Melb a few years back. Very motivated people and one group I have no problem donating to.

This is one of my favourite adverts of theirs. Wouldn't it be awesome if this confronted the next Japanese wailing fleet.

No excuses what so ever for this. Frank, it's not in all of our nature's to do this kind of thing rest assure. There are plenty who do care, just at the moment not enough.

I watched a docu film called The Cove a while back and was extremely heart wrenching so to speak but to be honest the Japanese had one valid point, Others kill other animals, all kinds, for food and they kill dolphins and others for food. In principal there is really no difference and I personally feel we are intelligent enough beings to live without killing animals as there are plenty of other foods to survive on these days but totally understand the habit as since being a vegetarian myself for a couple of years now my mouth does water when I think of certain foods but my mind has none of it as I know this is just a taste rather than a need.

Either way those photo's are disgusting and to hear many stories of dolphins saving humans and this is the thanks they get.
