Dengar mailaway palitoy - HELP needed.

Hi guys,

I have been getting more stuff out of boxes that I have had in storage for over 10 years now. One such box was full of boxed mailers including:

Boba Fett, Bossk, Nien Numb ( NSW australia on box ) Admiral Akbaar (revenge of the jedi) 4-lom, Anakin Skywalker, Rancor keeper, Emporor, Display arena, Snootles Rebo band (with mailer sleave) Han Stormtrooper (kellogs mailaway) Star Wars 8 pack

Its the dengar figure that has stumped me. Its heat sealed in a baggie, white face lfl 1980 on 1 leg and something I cannot make out on the other leg. Is this the palitoy dengar mailer? Some examples I have seen online have palitoy general mills or something like printed on the baggie.

Can anyone shed any light?

I looked at the guide. The dengar is on page 2 of the thread.

My figure is in a bag that looks identical to a photo on there that is listed as a 'free figure offer' dengar. It even has the white face. So all looks good there. My bag however does not have the red meccano sticker on the front ... so either it has come off or it was never applied maybe as this was to be sent out within the UK? Im not sure ....

Anyone else any ideas?

I thought the Meccano baggies were just Euro baggies with sticker applied. Are you sure it's not a Palitoy one?

Should it not have palitoy/bridgate on the baggie in that case? Im just not sure. From all the dengars listed on the guide my white faced dengar is the only one listed as 'free figure offer' . Mine is heat sealed the same way up in the baggie with his feet resting on the heat seal.

Ive had this figure over 10 years. I forgot I had it and to be honest I have no idea where I bought it from.

I believe it is a genuine dengar mailer ... I just cannot find any examples of it on the net bar the refernce guide posted in this thread.

If anybody else has any ideas/opinions feel free to chime in.

It's not the dengar box - looks like an emperor box

I'd assume it's just a Euro C with no sticker, some must have slipped through the net unless you bought it from Billy Boy Rogers?

If the box came with it and is the emperor's one then the time line would work for his baggie scams

No idea who billyboyrodgers is?? I purchased this dengar over 10 years ago. I have a sealed emporor mailer ... not sure if its palitoy or toltoys. No writing on the box at all. But the dengar box is wider than my emporor box.

The box is not correct for a dengar mailer and niether is the baggie, it should be a small box with bradgate baggie or a palitoy mihk baggie, I don't think anyone could say with any certainty it didn't come like that but the fact it has the wrong Baggie and box combined is a big red flag imo as I have never seen that combination before

Billy boy Rogers was a big Palitoy collector back in the day. Sold loads of baggies and got caught faking unpainted prototypes and other unheard of combinations. Essentially a baggie seller that got greedy - sound familiar?

Not saying this is one of his, but he got found out in 2006 or 2007, and if there are red flags it could be one of his either from a third party or the man himself.

Have you got the dimensions of the box and I could probably tell you what is from/for?

Have a look at the guide again, you may want to gte past page 2 & flip forward to pages 6 & 7 which actually show the mailers, the red sticker one you are on about has nothing to do with the UK promotion, it's a french offer for the red stickers, the dengar mailer was specific to the UK only, details as said on page 6 of the guide on the palitoy mailers section -

D - 5.5cm
H - 3cm

Could be the right box ... wrong baggie im not sure. Could be right box and right baggie though after some research it seems maybe the birmingham boxes were esb palitoy mailers ?

Yeah i measured my other boxes and i found that too.

Digging on the internet it seems palitoys sw and esb mailers were shipped with a birmingham sticker on. Later rotj palitoy mailers were shipped with altrincham on them.

So i think this box is from a palitoy esb mailer. And if it is ... which one?

My rancor is a palitoy as its opened and its slightly bigger than my emperor box. None of my other blank mailer boxes match the size of my rancor box. Im not sure if my emperor is palitoy or kenner as its sealed.
