Hi

Firstly, thanks to edd_jedi for allowing me to post in your forum!

I'm working with ActionAid to help create some awareness around their 'Make Your Mark' campaign.

As part of the campaign David Prowse (Darth Vader) has provided ActionAid with a 'self-portrait' of the Dark Lord himself and I thought this might be of interest to you all as dedicated Star Wars fans :)

'Make Your Mark' invited people local to Bristol and the South West to submit self-portraits for a huge mosaic that will be unveiled on Bristol's College Green on 1st June. The pictures will make up the face of 5-year-old Enid from Uganda, who represents the 72 million children around the world who do not attend school because of poverty.

If you are local to the South West we'd love to see some of you there on 1st June :)

ActionAid are holding the event to help find 1,000 new child sponsors in Bristol and the South West, so they can support 1,000 children like Enid and their communities. Regular donations from sponsors help communities turn that support into whatever's needed most – whether it's a new school building, trained teachers, healthcare services, clean water supplies or help to build sustainable livelihoods.

You can find out more about 'Make Your Mark' here:

I'll leave you with a quote from David Prowse:

"Every now and again a good cause comes along that could do with a little help from the dark side."

Thanks,
Alexei

I've been to Uganda a few times as family used to live out there and sis has gone back there so know all about it.. sad but yet when you see them they have the greatest smiles u've ever seen. With happiness from just the smallest things we all take for granted.

I wish you all success with your campaign :)
